Duration of ownership: 6 Months

Strengths: The LCD screen is huge, and it is easy to hold that is the best thing about this product.

Weaknesses: pictures are very poor, low light even with the flash your pictures are dark and blurry. The image stablizer only works if your using a tri-pod. Outside pictures aren't as bright as they should be.

Overall Evaluation: I have 5 year old Sony Mavica im going back to. Don't buy this Nikon CoolPix. It is horrible and I can't even take it back. Maybe it is broken, I am having it looked at, hopefully there is something wrong. I kinda doubt it. Very expensive mistake I made.

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: i would say the reults (quality of photograph) is what impressed me the most. also the ease of use..the rotary control is just amazing !!

Weaknesses: i can't really figure out any problems with the camera...its just too good.

Overall Evaluation: i've always loved Nikon... believe it or not..they produce the world's best and the finest lens, good photographers always prefer a nikon n so would i. The S6 produces superb quality images and thats all i care for when buying a camera - be it a point n shoot or an SLR. Although i don't really care for the looks but if u insist for my views, i would say its one of the best looking camera's in the market. its super slim, super compact with a very impressive bright 3 inch LCD. Other thing that impressed me was the rotary control... it does most of the tasks n thus is simple in use... the ease of use is a very important criteria while buying any electronic item n nikon understands this very well.. i'm very much satisfied with the battery life. Wi-fi is nice n simple and is a great help especially when u run out of space in ur SD card.. it has a feature which enables u to directly send the photographs to the local computer as soon as u click the snaps. Other features like BSS, pictmotion, D-lighting etc is just too good. The wave design by Nikon just shows how well Nikon understands its customers..it fits the hands so well !! I would strongly recommend this camera.
