    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Fast printing at 20 pages/minute.Good clean laser printing at 600x600 DPI.Easy to setup and operate.Prints envelopes

Weaknesses: Tray only holds about 150ish papers. Would be better if had an externanl tray addon.

Overall Evaluation: I bought this network printer since I needed something to be able to print from all the computers on my network. I have to say that I am immensely satisfied with my printer. It is a clean powerful printer and handles a heavy duty printer load as i have been abusing it since I got it. It setup easily on my network by auto DHCP. It includes a network utility to remotely set it up also if your network does not have DHCP. Overall I would definitely recommend this low cost printer to those who want a good network printer.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Ease of installation on network, price ($99), modest footprint

Weaknesses: Slightly "cheap" appearance of buttons, design. Poor installation guide.

Overall Evaluation: While looking for an economical monochrome laser printer to plug into our home network of four Macs, I stumbled across the e120n on sale for $99. Mac-ready, network-ready, under $100, laser. Hmmm . . . thirty seconds later I was standing in line to pay for it.Installation to a wireless network via an Airport Express station was as easy as attaching the USB cable. Installation of the proper drivers from the install package on the CD was a snap, and within minutes the printer was up and running. It's now our routine basic printer, and is doing a wonderful job.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Good quality printing, built in ethernet adapter, stylish, fairly compact.

Weaknesses: Printer makes some sort of reset noise every couple of hours if left in standby mode.

Overall Evaluation: I needed a new laser printer and after checking several reviews, I settled on the Lexmark E120n. The main selling point for me was that the printer was network ready with the built in ethernet adapter. This means that the printer can plug in to a router and anyone on the network can print to it without a 'host' printer having to be on or without having to buy a print server. This feature works perfectly and was simple to setup. The printer prints nice clean text and is very fast, like most laser printers. The only downside that I have seen with this printer is that the printhead or something inside the printer makes a 'resetting' noise every couple of hours if the computer is left in standby mode, which I do. This resetting noise only lasts about 1 second, but with the printer in my bedroom, it can be annoying to hear in the middle of the night. It is not loud enough to make me up, though. Otherwise, this is a great printer. It looks nice with its black and silver matte finish and it works perfectly. Highly recommended.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Smallest laser with built-in network card. Fast & quiet.

Weaknesses: Paper tray only holds 150 sheets

Overall Evaluation: Can be used to print bankable checks using MICR toner cartridge from checksnet website. I also found the MICR cartridge allowed me to lower toner darkness setting when printing documents which makes this a very economical laser printer.

Installed Memory is Ideal for Five or Fewer Users

This printer's installed memory is sufficient for small offices or workgroups that print typical business documents, such as memos, spreadsheets, or simple Web pages. If you have more than six people using the printer or the printer handles heavy traffic, you will want more memory than this printer provides.
