Strengths: EASE of use and installation
Weaknesses: None yet
Overall Evaluation: I replaced 2 Good working NEC drives With 2 of these drives. Didnt expect much improvement, just the DVD RAM R/W. WOW was I surprised and pleasantly so. I do some DVD editing and the read speed (frame analysis) had doubled. Writing fast and near perfect. No Coasters yet. Quite and smooth door operation. Highly recommended and unit also has MT.Rainier R/W (Windows Vista will exploit this capability) At the the time of this writing I dont understand why it is rated #2 to a LG GSAH10LI When this unit (LG) cant be found for purchase in the US. Good job Samsung !!
