Strengths: Easy installation, Small size, good burning speed, DVD-RAM

Weaknesses: Plastic external case, sometime noisy

Overall Evaluation: I bought it from local Officedepot three months ago. Overall it is a good external burner. It is quite to setup. You can place it horizontally or vertically with the attached holder. It support DVD-RAM disc with was easy for daily backup for small file. You can just drag and drop on the DVD-RAM and it will be function as hard drive.

    Weaknesses: None encountered so far.

Overall Evaluation: It does a great job in burning movies to the DVD, it burnt the 4.3b DVD disc in around 6 mins. and the dual layer (7.9gb) in 11mins. it does not have the lightscribe feature(of course i do not care about this), it's well worth the money. paid around $40 after rebate.
