Mitsubishi WD-52631
Mitsubishi WD-52631 Review
- Tested (like all models) at vendor defaults with calibration, the Mitsubishi WD-52631 exhibited poor color in many of PC World's TV tests, which dragged down this 1080p DLP's overall performance scores. In subsequent viewings of a Seabiscuit DVD, twiddling with the TV's settings corrected the distracting orange-yellow cast. Nevertheless, this 52-inch HDTV, with a street price of $2499 (as of September 8, 2006), was deemed merely Fair by our panel at time of testing.

Strengths: Full 1080p. LARGE 53" widescreen. Splitscreen. Multiple inputs(HDMI included )Inuitive plug n play inputs. Quiet.
Weaknesses: Modest speakers.
Overall Evaluation: Much of what has been written about this set involve early models that were prone to bulb failure. I can say that after viewing this tv for four months that it has no problems. It's pictures remains to be one of the best I've seen. Furthermore, it's quiet; as quiet as a laptop computer. And at full 1080p with HD cable it's pictures are crisp and breathtaking. Even normal DVDs look better. It's onboard sound is slightly lacking but adequate. Simply connect your hometheater to it's many inputs. I love this tv. I got mine at circuit city for under $1300 with 0% financing. AWESOME.
