Strengths: Don't buy Qosmio series from Toshiba, I can give you proof if you message me (sales receipt some pictures) . I would like nothing more then to make a impact on somebody considering on buying from Toshiba. Stick with your Desktop then with this cash burner that will malfunction shortly after the warranty does.

Weaknesses: -Huge Laptop, (larger then I had thought) -Very noisy fan or fans -Hot -The laptop scratches easily -About 5 burned out pixels right out of the box (new) -A lemon (again the F-15) Do a google search. The Nvidia Graphics chip that is soldered on overheats and makes the whole motherboard a complete pile of junk. -Speakers sounded terrible after 3 months of use -Battery life is awful. After 1 year of use the windows battery warning comes on after 5 minutes of being unplugged. -infrared only works with remote, not a true Infrared that can work with other devices -Heavy -Very poor customer support unless you plan to call overseas.

Overall Evaluation: WARNING This comment is for all Qosmio Laptops. I just got rid of my Toshiba F-15 AV-201 paper weight at the huge technology mall: Pantip Plaza, in Bangkok Thailand for 1,000 baht equivalent of $32.00 USD. Bought the Laptop NEW for $2,599.95 from CDW a couple years back. Well 1 Year and some change the Main Board fried, something to do with the embedded Nvidia graphics chip. A TRUE lemon. The Toshiba repair shop in Thailand said that the quality of parts on the Motherboard is not good in the U.S. and I should have bought it in Thailand. Now I am on a mission to let every one now about Toshiba. Just go to there web site and see if it is easy or not to contact customer support. No mention of this anywhere, just one big cover up. Vertical lines on the screen? not this laptop!!! P.S. I am on a crusade to let every one now about this lemon from Toshiba.

Strengths: Fast processor, easy to find and use media controls. FANTASTIC resolution on any setting. As durable as it gets.

Weaknesses: A bit heavy at 9.5 lbs, but well worth the inconvenience.

Overall Evaluation: I use my Qosmio for work as well as pleasure. I work in Rich Internet Web Development and travel alot. Which basically means that I depend on this machine for my lively-hood and really use it hard! This laptop is by far the best I have ever owned or worked on in my career. The Qosmio is for serious users only in my opinion, if you want lighting fast processor speeds, extreme durability and one of the best graphics display around.....I would highly recommend the Qosmio G35 AV600. You won't be disappointed.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Core 2 Duo, GeForce 7600, 2 hard drives - raid capable, nice screen, HD ready

Weaknesses: As already mentioned - it's big, and heavier than most laptops

Overall Evaluation: What attracted me to this laptop is that on top of all the great specs it has - processor, video card, RAM - which put it in the same class as most high end gaming notebooks, it adds on an HD DVD drive and HD screen along with 2 hard drives that are able to be configured in a raid setup. I was looking for something that would be extremely flexible in terms of what it is cabable of, future ready, and performance built. Size and weight didn't matter to me. I love it. It's very fast, and does everything I need it to do well. HD DVD is very clear - great to watch. I'm not convinced it's worth the high price tag just to watch HD DVD's, but performance and feature wise - it's awesome.

    Weaknesses: Heavy and Expensive

Overall Evaluation: This laptop is a media centre with impressive video quality is driven by Nvidia?s GeForce Go 7600 graphics card with 256MB of GDDR3 memory and the integrated Toshiba TV tuner.I truly suggest Q35 av 660,the beautiful design with HD components .Ports and connections are the advantages of Q35 Av660.

Multitask and Not Bog Down

The more memory a PC has, the faster your programs run and the more windows you can work in simultaneously. Equipped with memory between 1GB and 3GB, this laptop should be able to handle just about any task you can throw at it without bogging down too much. For instance, if you're a multitasker and you'd like to burn a music CD in one window while watching your favorite DVD movie (for the umpteenth time) in another--while flipping between your inbox and your browser to work on your blog during the movie's boring parts--this laptop can manage it all without a hiccup.
