  Strengths: Easy to install. Works prefect with skype.

  Overall: I got the phone from officedepot. The phone was very easy to install following the instructions. After fully charged, the phone is working perfectly with skype. Pushing the skype button in the phone will bring up the skype contacts in the LCD screen of the phone. You still need skype client running in your computer but you can make phone call just using the phone.The phone is dedicated to skype only. It will be nice if it works with other VOIP services.

  Overall: Great product. Very easy to setup. I followed the instructions and was up and running in a few minutes. Conversations on the phone are static free and I have not had any sound quality issues. If you are looking for a good cordless Skype phone, definitely give this one a look.

  Strengths: This is a very nice to use phone for Skype. Skype contacts are selectable through the screen. Phone numbers and speed dials can be entered on the keypad.

  Weaknesses: There appears no way to use this for anything other than skype.Not easy to get going with Vista.Very slow user interface

  Overall: The USB station sets up an audio device which Skype uses. While the audio device can be used by any other program, I have not found a way to get the handset to just connect without using Skype. Similiarly I can not "join" a call that has already been made. It would be useful to be able to establish a call on the PC (for example copying and pasting a phone number from the web) and be able to press a button on the handset to join the call. I have found this functionality available on other devices.Similiarly this would allow any voip product to work with the device to some extend even though the keypad would not work.It would appear to me to be a very small change in the software to allow for this. Or perhaps the protocol could be published so someone else could write a control app for it.Finally I find the user interface irritatingly slow when in Skype mode. It takes a very long time to scroll through the contacts list.On the whole however I like this device and I have two of them connected to the one base unit. I especially like the fact it has a headset plug so I will often use the phone with a headset attached to it and the handset in my pocket so I can walk around the house and use the phone handsfree

  Strengths: Great with Skype. Sturdy body - both phone, and USB base and nice & solid. Great light up features for handset - feels like a real phone. Great professional ring tone, speaker, and touch & feel.

  Weaknesses: only. works. with. skype. does not work with a single another voip soft phone. this makes it a huge drawback.

  Overall: I was in the market for a very easy to use handset for a couple soft phones, and a device that had a good keypad. I saw this advertised as an 'internet handset' and talked to the OffDepot store personnel & they said it should work with any soft phone. I went into the settings of my soft phone (Cisco communicator, X10 vonage) and selected the 'Logitech Internet Handset', but they do not register with the phone. Using skype, however, is awesome -- The phone lists all the contacts. It shows my status, online, off line, etc.Another amazing thing -- This phone uses DECT technology. It has great reception in & around the house, etc. Really amazing. I truly wish Logitech provided this function to the other non-skype option (gtalk, yahoo, msn, other soft phones).If you are only using skype, and need a wireless handset -- this is 5 stars.This is only 3 stars because of the proprietary nature of this handset to skype.
