Palm Treo 750 Review

- Don't let the sleek design of Palm's new Treo 750 fool you: This is a serious business device. The Windows Mobile-based phone, available for $500 with a two-year contract from AT&T's Cingular Wireless unit, includes mobile Office applications, world phone capabilities, and support for Cingular's 3G UMTS high-speed network; but business users may not tolerate its poor talk-time battery life.

    Duration of ownership: 2 Months

Strengths: Great, easy to use features. The user can view, edit and create MS Word documents and attachments.

Weaknesses: Battery life could use some improvement, I just got in the habit of using my car charger when I drive.

Overall Evaluation: Excellent value for the price.

    Strengths: none

Weaknesses: keeps dialing by itself, turns itself off, and can not uplock it

Overall Evaluation: I get charged for calls that I never made because it dials itself when it is in the holster. It became unlocked and now I can not unlock it... the directions to unlock it does not unlock it. Then it turns itself completely off when it is the holster and does not go into standby mode.
