What You Should Know about the Pavilion dv9000t

Multitask and Not Bog Down

The more memory a PC has, the faster your programs run and the more windows you can work in simultaneously. Equipped with memory between 1GB and 3GB, this laptop should be able to handle just about any task you can throw at it without bogging down too much. For instance, if you're a multitasker and you'd like to burn a music CD in one window while watching your favorite DVD movie (for the umpteenth time) in another--while flipping between your inbox and your browser to work on your blog during the movie's boring parts--this laptop can manage it all without a hiccup.

Strengths: Fairly rapid boot for Vista. The screen and the vibrancy are sensational.

Weaknesses: Took hours to suppress the trial ware. The unit is large and fairly heavy (over 7 lbs). Plan on using it only sparingly as a travel laptop. Depending on where you're sitting and the plane, it may be too large to use on a plane.

Overall Evaluation: Sorry to read Billt2222's review of his experience. My experience has not been like that at all. This unit repalced a Dell, that replaced an IBM, that replaced an Apple. I like this one the best. I use it only occassionally as a traveling laptop (usually on this occasions when I'm making a one-on-one presentation at a prospect's office and I really want the display to knock their socks off). This unit is great for that and a very reliable workhorse computer in my business. Highly recommended. No service issues experienced so far.

Overall Evaluation: This is the worst pc I have eveer owned, and I have had pc's from the beginning. Right now, I can't even shut the computer down. I go to shut windows down, and it does, only it immediately turns on again. The only way to shut down this pc is the button, which is not good, but I am between a rock and a hard place. Please people, buy any other pc brand!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, I have also been a long time purchaser of hp printers, but the latest is also a piece of junk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Steer clear of HP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
