- Trend Micro's AntiVirus plus Anti-Spyware 2007 came in dead last in our "Virus Stoppers" antivirus roundup test of eight products. Weaknesses: Total Junk
Overall Evaluation: I purchased the suite last year w/ a new Dell. Trend Micro Security 12 The firewall was " grayed" out, so it was unclickable. Therefore useless. No help from dell or trend micro. Just wasted $70. If you're smart, read and don't deal w/ dell or trend micro. They are both junk.

Strengths: Not a resource hog. Easy to use and set up for the average user instead of a "geek". The "0" false-positive rate during the PC World test should speak for itself compared to others!
Weaknesses: None.
Overall Evaluation: I definitely never had a "high renewal cost" nor does it have "poor virus detection" like Norton did when I used it and which was why I dropped Norton like a hot rock! Convesely, Panda (and Norton) had too many "false-positives". If you keep yourself off of crummy websites and quit downloading questionable crap you won't have much of a problem anyway!
