User Reviews for Delorme DeLorme Earthmate GPS PN-20

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: Size, weight, accuracy
Weaknesses: LCD a bit small, missing a magnetic compass
Overall Evaluation: Great little GPS unit. I use it for hiking and picture geotagging and it's perfect for these uses, as long as you use the Topo USA software included.Unfortunately the color LCD is a little bit too small when hiking, but the small weight really makes up for it.All in all, a great buy.

Strengths: nice looking, screen seems to be very clear
Weaknesses: Extremely poor instructions, Parts missing in the box
Overall Evaluation: I waited a long time to get the right GPS for use on my bike, trail walking and my car. I THOUGHT the Delorme PN-20 was just the ticket and they were offering a great rebate. Now I know the rebate was probably due to so many returns. First off the two AA battteries were missing. One of the two screws that holds the battery cover is missiing. The cover for the SD card is broken and won't hold the card. The Instructions are about as bad as I have ever seen. I have read where people returned them as they couldn't get them to work. Ditto except I was dumb and took off the UPC code right away for the rebate.
