    Strengths: small size, good price

    Weaknesses: auto-focus

Overall Evaluation: I bought this camera after my old camera died while on vacation. I didn't do a lot of research so I went for a small cheap camera and that is what this is. If you are looking for a small camera to keep handy this is worth a look. However, I hate the auto-focus on this camera. It often fails to work, when it does it is slow. When the image is dark you might as well forget it. The image quality is good, not great. I keep this little guy in my backpack where ever I go, so I always have a camera handy and for that its small size and price more than make up for its other shortcomings.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Compact size, inexpensive, easy to operate for the beginner

Weaknesses: Weak performance in low light, slow recycle time between shots

Overall Evaluation: This is a fairly nice camera for the money. It would be a nice camera to introduce a person to digital photography. It did not meet my personal needs due to very poor performance in low light situations and slow recycle times. But I gave it to my daughter to learn photography on and its perfect for her. I would recommend this camera for that purpose only - as a teaching aid.

    Strengths: Affordable. Compact.

Weaknesses: Slow. Mediocre quality. Small LCD.

Overall Evaluation: CoolPix L10 Silver Digital Camera has very low-end specs. Its LCD is small, it has only 5MP, and internal memory is almost useless. Nevertheless it will make a very good starter digital camera, because it is cheap but from a reliable maker, Nikon. This camera cannot yield crispy photos, and movie file has noises. If you don't like these problems, it would be better to avoid this camera and invest more money on other cameras.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Size, Price,

    Weaknesses: Autofocus, low light performance

Overall Evaluation: I wanted an inexpensive camera that I could grab when I didn't want to have to lug around the camera bag with the 12x zoom camera. This camera is small enough to be carried in a coat or pants pocket without much notice. When off, a door closes over the lens so you don't need a separate camera bag/cover. Provided enough light the camera takes nice pictures. Indoors and areas without ample amounts of light can be an issue. I don't like the fact that there is no view finder (I hate holding the camera out to compose the shot) but understand the lack due to the size and LCD. The biggest issue I have with this camera is the autofocus. It takes a long time searching to get focus lock and many times will not successfully focus. I have missed several shots due to the autofocus searching. All in all, for the price and quality of the shots I do get, this is a good camera.

Strengths: Lightweight, Compact, Good Images. QuickTime Video Mode with Audio

Weaknesses: A little slow in reponse

Overall Evaluation: I'm a DSLR user and had an old Olympus D-510 that I hated carrying around because of its size. Found this on sale for a great price and had to replace my Olympus as it's not practical to carry my D70 around. This is nice and compact with good quality images. Popped in a 2GB SanDisk Ultra II Secure Digital Card Plus USB Adapter (see my other review) and I have tons of space. According to the camera, I can take over 700 pictures at the highest resolution or over 3 hours of QuickTime Video with audio. Very easy to use and the display is sharp with good battery life considering the LCD is the only way to shoot an image as there is no viewfinder. Found a nice case on eBay to pop this in and they both fit into my pocket.
