User Reviews for HP HP Photosmart R937

    Duration of ownership: 5 Weeks

Strengths: great screen and touch screen features - very easy to use

Weaknesses: repeated software problems with download to PC, and was never able to get more than 5 of 74 pics transferred to PC. Called help line, re-loaded SW, got updates of SW, tried to retrieve pics using Windows picture manager and Adobe Photoshop, as well as just the USB drive function. Finally, camera just will not turn on at all. Am going to return camera - this is just not worth the trouble!

Overall Evaluation: poor, since the reason to take pictures is to be able to retrieve them off the camera!!

Strengths: Completely User Friendly, Settings are Easy Set For Great Images Without Being A Professional

Weaknesses: Digital Zoom Could Be a Bit More Extensive

Overall Evaluation: I am a person who usually thoroughly researches a product before I make the final purchase. With the hands on research I did with this camera through a friend who has the same, I found it to be totally easy to use. The research on the internet confirmed its abilities to be a great camera. It's compact, user friendly and I have found, so far, no complaints. I have recommended this camera to several folks already. I really enjoy this camera!

Strengths: Very cool large touch screen, very simple user interface.

Weaknesses: picture quality, video quality, durability

Overall Evaluation: This camera has been one of my worst experiences I have had with a piece of consumer electronics. I have had 2 of these cameras and the durability of the camera is absolutely horrible. Both cameras have been irreparably damaged by a single drop. The video quality exceeds the durability only slightly and is aweful. The picture quality exceeds the video quality only slightly and is dreadful. The camera delivers a very low picture quality in spite of the 8mp picture rating. Mysterious halos appear in many of our pictures including the photos taken during my sons first Christmas and the birth of my second son. Also the photos lack a richness in color. And the best part is the lack absolute lack of customer service delived by HP. I have finally given up and purchased a Canon SD1100 IS which I cannot recommend enough.

Strengths: relatively fast with large lcd touch screen and slimming effect

    Weaknesses: None thus far.

Overall Evaluation: HP is not considered a top tier digital camera maker and this one puts them in the right direction with it's advanced slimming feature and large 3.6" touch screen. Most people will not be so hesitant to have their picture taken with this camera having the slimming effect!

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Simple the easiest, most intuitive digital camera you will ever use. Period. Menu works better than an Apple Iphone. I love it and the photos are film quality.

Weaknesses: Odd shape and low power zoom

Overall Evaluation: this is the perfect, easy to use, snapshot, vacation camera. This is the camera you should take with you on field trips or when you are in a hurry and need quick snaps and family photos. Not meant for action shots of your favorite team. Best all around snap camera I could find at the price.
