Even without the brand name, you'd know that this TV and the HP-T4264 came from the same manufacturer. This one is a bit smaller, supports 1080p, and uses an LCD panel instead of a plasma screen; but the physical design, menus, remotes, and just about everything else are identical. It's no surprise that they earned very similar marks.

Samsung LN-T4061
LN-T4061 Review, by Lincoln Spector September 20, 2007
Samsung's LCD scored slightly above the average for the 12 LCD and plasma sets in our November 2007 issue's HDTV roundup on most of our jury tests, though the it did have problems with standard-def content, whether over the air or on DVD. For the most part it managed high-def chores reasonably well, despite rendering slightly washed-out flesh tones on the only test performed in 1080p, which used the Mission: Impossible III Blu-ray disc.
You shouldn't have any trouble getting the LN-T4061 up and running. Every connector that you might want to plug something into points outward; most of them are on the back, with a few extras on the side for easy access.
The menus are compact and readable, and if you can't read them easily enough, you can make the background opaque. When you select sources, the LN-T4061 skips the ones that have nothing plugged into them; these appear grayed out on the Sources menu. You can rename your sources if you feel that DVD or VCR tell you more than HDMI 1 or S-Video 2, but you must select names from the supplied list--you can't enter your own.
This well-equipped TV has a freeze button and picture-in-picture for watching content from two different sources--though not from two different channels on the HP-T4264's tuner. It also carries a headphone jack and a USB port for viewing JPEG image files and for listening to MP3s from an external device.
The LN-T4061 comes with a long and slightly clumsy remote. It's programmable, and some of the buttons light up.

Strengths: The picture!! 3 HDMI connectors. 1080p! Vivid color
Weaknesses: The only weakness was the price but now at the price of $1099 its a sweet deal. Best Buy sells it for $1699 and wont match price but Circuit City did!! Sweet LCD
Overall: You can't beat it for the price! 1080p for $1099 is a sweet deal. I dont know where they get the con being the picture in this review. They must have hooked it up to some cheese ball antenna. Get it for $1099 you will be happy you did!! Blue Ray looks like you are there!!

Overall: My review is of PC Worlds review process. Clearly, when an overwhelming number of people vote "NO" that this story is not helpful it should tell you something. How can you rate a TV No. 1, and then show as a "Con" the picture quality?? That makes no sense to anyone, and it should make no sense to you !

Strengths: Best Tv I've owned...until this problem arose
Weaknesses: Possible faulty and/or underrated electronic components
Overall: Over the past month or more,When i turn the tv on the screen had a Magenta hue to it. The entire picture was in shades of magenta.I'd turn off my Directv box assuming it was a problem with the satellite, and after turning it back on, the picture would be fine.I figured the satellite was the problem, until one day i turned the Tv off and then back on, which also corrected the magenta issue. This led me to believe the Tv could be the issue, and not necessarily the satellite signal.I ignored it up until a few days ago when i turned the Tv on, and it didn't come on.The Tv would click and the audible "Doo doo doo" would sound, the red LED would blink 4 times, and then nothing. 15 seconds later this process repeats, by itself, and the tv turns on.Upon searching for these symptoms online i found multiple forum posts describing the exact issues i was experiencing. Most people's sets were just out of the warranty period so Samsung wouldn't cover the costs. Some people had their set serviced for $300-$500.Some found a replacement power supply board online and replaced it themselves. One person opened his set and noticed bulging, leaking capacitors on the board which he replaced for under $15 which also solved the problem.Samsung is supposed to be one of the best brands, and the Tv performs great, but the fact that they may be using faulty or underrated components to save a buck during manufacturing worries me and i'm not sure i'd buy another Samsung Tv again. Also, the fact that this problem appears to be a trend and Samsung doesn't choose to recognize it as such shows they don't care very much about their customers and don't stand behind their product.Buy at your own risk.

Strengths: Great picture, lots of extras, easy to use
Weaknesses: None except for not so great speakers
Overall: Up to this point, I was very pleased with my Samsung LN-T4061F TV. However, I am now having two problems with it.The TV used to take 5 seconds to come on after the power button was pressed. Now it takes up 2 minutes. Also, there are pink dots all over the screen, showing up mostly in areas of black.Through searching online for a solution, I find that many others have had these same problems. One person says he solved the problem by taking it in for repairs and it cost $200 to have a board of some kind replaced. No one else has offered a solution.

Strengths: Low price/very high quality picture
Weaknesses: Sound
Overall: The Good------------------- This set has been running for hours each day for over a year and the picture quality is the same as when new: very high. This is *especially true* when combined with a satellite HD/HD-DVR box from Dish Network (free for new customers!). -------------------It's also a bargain with many retailers selling it for under $1000. I looked for 6 months and could not find anything remotely close to this price and quality. -------------------The programmable remote is easily configured to operate 2 additional A/V systems. It's also very sturdy; it still works perfectly after many long falls to the travertine flooring and the original/cheap batteries lasted for over a year. -------------------The Bad-------------------The only negative point is the sound. The default settings must have been decided by people who spent too much time next to the huge speakers at heavy metal concerts.-------------------Thankfully, a little fiddling with the equalizer easily elevates the default sound settings to a *vastly* improved level. For hi-def movies, I usually use the programmable remote to turn on my Denon 7.1 sound system. Accordingly, sound quality is not a problem for users that are not hearing impaired and can adjust the equalizer or have a good audio system. -------------------Final Thoughts-------------------Considering the price, overall build quality, and image resolution: this set is at least a 9 on a scale of 10. -------------------

Strengths: 3 HDMI inputs, as well as a wealth of other inputs. PC games played very well. Swivel stand, overall clean and classy style.
Weaknesses: QAM tuner can be a bit sketchy sometimes (see comments).
Overall: My setup has my PC hooked up to the Samsung via DVI-HDMI. Pictures, videos, and games look top notch. I was really impressed with the image quality of games at 1080p, plus no artifacts or smearing. Initially, the QAM tuner was able to pick up only a few "in-the-clear" (e.g. local and unencrypted)cable HD channels on the first pass. After a few more attempts I now pick all in-the-clear. On a few occasions, the channel number will change, but according to several online resources, I believe it has more to do with Comcast than the tuner (what else is new??). I am very happy with this TV, especially for the price.
