The nicely designed Aliph Jawbone offers the best balance of comfort and sound quality of the half-dozen headsets I have tested recently.

Aliph Jawbone Bluetooth Headset
Jawbone Review, by Narasu Rebbapragada March 21, 2008
At 2.25 inches long (the length of my thumb), this shiny device isn't the smallest one around, but it looks smart; you can buy it in any of three colors: black, red, or silver. The thin band of the LED indicator is unobtrusive, but the Jawbone's design may be too minimalist for some. You can't see the talk button or the noise shield button, which controls the technology for eliminating background noise. Pressing certain portions of the Jawbone's perforated surface--which reminds me of a cheese grater--activates these functions. Once you find them, by touch, the buttons are easy to access and require little finger muscle to press.
The Jawbone is comfortable, thanks to an included assortment of earhooks and earbuds that includes something for almost anyone who isn't Vincent van Gogh or a Vulcan. Pairing the headset, with a Motorola Razer2 V9 was quick and easy as was charging the headset. Aliph bundles the Jawbone with AC and USB chargers, and claims a talk time between battery charges of 6 hours; my tests with the device gave me no reason to dispute that number.
Audio quality was solid: I could hear well in both quiet and noisy environments. My callers could hear me very clearly, too, even when I was spelling out words in noisy environments. One observation: I always felt as though the person I was speaking to was sitting alone in an amphitheater--the conversations had a tinny sound.
Overall, this comfortable, top-quality headset sounded great, for a reasonable price ($80 as of February 15, 2008). For me, that unique combo makes the Jawbone worth the investment.

Duration of ownership: 8 Months
Strengths: sound quality
Weaknesses: it has fallen apart on the earplug and today the head that plugs into the charger broke. When I bought it the sales person said she had one but be careful because this part falls apart.
Overall: poor if it going to fall apart. I have six other headsets and this is the only one that has fallen apart

Strengths: Good sound quality.
Weaknesses: Ear Loop
Overall: The Original Jawbone Ear Look no longer available from manufacture. Discontinued. Custom support will only help if unit is less than a year old. Customer support gives you the runaround. Very poor customer service.

Strengths: Low or no background noise for the party on the other end of your call. Good sound quality in earphone.
Weaknesses: Ear clip is not secure feeling. Feels like it could fall out anytime.
Overall: I have tried all of the included ear clip sizes and cannot find a good match (and no, I don't have cauliflower ears, thank you very much :)) Other than that, it is a great device.

Strengths: Unparalleled clarity of sound, both receiving and outgoing.
Weaknesses: Ear wire is not comfortable nor especially secure - they do send other ear wires, but they all seem to be exactly the same. Smallest ear bud is too big for small ears and rubs painfully.
Overall: Someday, someone will invent a Bluetooth ear piece that both fits comfortably and provides superior sound quality. The Jawbone is amazing as far as sound quality, with great background noise elimination and clear speech reception and transmission. But the ear wire leaves something to be desired, and the hard ear bud rubs my ear raw if I leave it on for too long. Still, overall, this is the best Bluetooth device I've owned, and believe me, I've owned just about all of them!

Strengths: Clearest I've had. Easy to use simple touch-located buttons to answer/end calls, change volume. Comfortable and light weight...
Weaknesses: a little hard to place in ear..ordered the Jabra ear buds which are softer. Interfers a little with glasses.
Overall: Use with TMobile Dash w/Windows Mobile. Great technology -syncs with all the WM features: Great voice announcement feature: calls, appointments, emails. Simple charging:like the usb charge option, much handier than having to plug in and has good battery life. Works well in all situations except strong wind, but that is true for any open microphone. Overall the best I've had in cluding the $150 Jabra.

Strengths: cancels most of the noise, looks pretty cool too
Weaknesses: big, not the most comfortable bluetooth headset
Overall: first of all, I should say this could be the best noise cancelling headset in the marketthere are only 2 buttons (hidden) on this headphone, one for turning on the noise cancelling feature and the other for on/off/activatefor those who complains about the mic volume, please make sure the boom is touch your jaw. the thing is, to do this, you need to switch on the right hanger, which will feel quite odd when worn for a long time. the motorola h-700 is much better on this, also smaller. battery life is so-so.the other complain is about the wind noise, well, it's not doing it, when wind blows directly to the mic, it can't do anything, period.overall, great!
