Creative Aurvana X-Fi Headphones Review

- Noise-canceling headphones prevent the roar of jet engines (or PC fans) from marring your listening experience. Creative has now added X-Fi sound card technology to the $300 Aurvana X-Fi noise-canceling headphones. X-Fi technology promises to restore the original sound quality of music compressed into MP3 files and to convert stereo audio into 3D surround sound. Does it work? Yes and no.

User Reviews for Creative Creative Aurvana X-Fi Noise-Canceling Headphones

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Good noise cancelling, good enhancement of MP3's

    Weaknesses: Pricey, battery life

Overall Evaluation: But then again, all the top noise cancelling headphones are pricey... The noise cancelling is excellent as well as the sound enhancements. However, the real plus these have over Bose models is the fact the sound doesn't stop when the batteries run out (you just lose the noise cancelling and enhancements). While the battery life may not be as good as some other brands, the batteries have lasted 10-12 hour plane flights without issue, using rechargeable batteries. They are comfortable for several hours at a time (they haven't become "uncomfortable" yet). The carrying case is a nice touch and packs well.
