Iogear Mobile Digital Scribe Pen Review

- Many note takers today face a choice of either lugging a laptop everywhere or writing everything down by hand and then manually entering their notes into a computer. Meanwhile, if you're a compulsive doodler or graphic artist, many of your best works may be buried somewhere in the margins of an old notebook.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Month

Strengths: Easy to install, very easy to use. amazing technology

    Weaknesses:

Overall Evaluation: One comment though: My Script Notes 2.1 Lite works very good for me. maybe you need to tune the language and recognition type you've been using. In addition, please note it is not an OCR, this is not an optical scanning, but a text or character recognition.

    Strengths: Pretty simple

Weaknesses: Does not function in other programs

Overall Evaluation: I openned the box and installed in the early morning and initially found the writing to be very unreliable. Upon reading the manual I see the improtance of not letting your hand interfere between the pen and base unit. Once that is understood it appears to function very well. Unfortunately it will not scribe directly into other programs, but I like having paper and electronic copies.
