Casio Exilim EX-Z80 Point-and-Shoot Camera Review

- The tiny Casio Exilim EX-Z80 packs a lot of features for $180, going above and beyond much of its competition. About the length and width of a credit card and just 0.5 inch thick, this camera fits into a pocket with the ease of a flip phone. Encased in a combination of sleek brushed metal and matching faux-metal plastic, the EX-Z80 is available in a range of metallic colors. And at 8 megapixels, it produces acceptable prints at 8 by 10 inches, with nice colors but a bit of blur.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Small, great pictures, easy to use, very good video.

    Weaknesses: None

Overall Evaluation: I really like this camera. mainly because it's small and easy to use. I have a big SLR type digital camera but I never use it because its so big, bulky and complicated. I also feel like I have to be so careful with it I never take it anywhere. That's where this camera shines. You can take it anywhere in your pocket and take pictures of anything and everything. Just point and shoot. It's not so expensive you have to worry about it but it takes great pictures. also it has an ebay picture mode so taking pics for the net is easy and it also has a straight to youtube feature so you don't have to spend time shrinking and read adjusting photos and video. For me this was a smart purchase and I'm very happy with it.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: love its sleek design; great for its price; use SD/HC.

    Weaknesses: Short battery life though

Overall Evaluation: It's a very slim digit cam with 8.1M pixel and 3 X optical zoom, enough for daily picture taking. This camera has many many features, like all that popular stuff typical of nowadays (auto-shutter, face detection, shake reduction, etc.), and many "Best Shot" modes making some good pictures. Casio has showed me that they can make GREAT digital cameras.
