Epson Stylus NX400 Inkjet Multifunction Printer Review

- Low-cost color inkjet multifunction printers like Epson's Stylus NX400 ($100 as of August 4, 2008) have to pack a lot of features into an affordable package. But something's got to give, and in the case of the Stylus NX400, the victim is text-printing speed. Still, matched against similarly priced models such as the HP Photosmart C4480, the NX400 is a better-balanced choice.

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Flip-up viewer, excellent price, easy installation, great print quality, cheap ink

Weaknesses: Paper feed is very loud. Startles you at first, but at least you know the feeder is gripping the paper!

Overall Evaluation: Excellent printer, very easy to read instructions and installation was a breeze. Print quality has been wonderful, and ink is cheaper than other brands available. The flip-up viewer is the BEST! I'm visually impaired, and I can see this viewer with no problem. Highly recommend this product.
