  Overall Evaluation: Most awesome picture. Big and bright. A real pleasure to watch. Very big but such a pleasure. Can't say enough good things about it. Love it.

  Strengths: Great picture, great price

  Weaknesses: expect the lights to be off in 1 to 2 years, which usually cost about $150.00

  Overall Evaluation: It is a great TV, full HD 1080p, great for games, movies, etc.I have played PS3 games 1080p resolution, it is great. Also we have WII, and when you play WII games on a big screen it is awesome. Watch Blu-ray movies, you feel like you are inside the TV, not only because bluray's high definition, rather the TV's picture is awesome.

  Strengths: Clarity, size and price

  Weaknesses: lamp burnout, not enough inputs

  Overall Evaluation: Lamp burnt out in 18 months. Luckily had on site warranty to resolve the issue. I bought this at 1699 and 200 warranty. Warranty has paid for itself. But I would not buy this again. Please research before buying the product. At the time of buying the pricing got me there and now i regret.

  Overall Evaluation: Purchased a 65hm167 toshiba tv on 06/06/07. Exactly 16 months later it died. Had to pay a service guy $100 bucks to tell me its the engine light and that it will cost $1000.00 bucks to fix and another $100 bucks too install. I paid 2 grand for the tv and expected it to last longer than 16 months. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANY TOSHIBA PRODUCTS TO ANYONE.

  Strengths: Easy to remove lamp assembly Well written manual - Great tech support When viewed from the side, there is very little degrading (darken/washed out) of picture. Beautiful SRS sound, dolby digital.

  Weaknesses: No PIP or split screen Lightweight remote, not the best quality.

  Overall Evaluation: This is our third Toshiba TV, the first being a 8 yr. old 36" CRT TV that was replaced with a Toshiba 52HM95 DLP projection HDTV in 2005.We then purchased the 65HM167, moving the 52" into our bedroom. Toshiba tech support have always been top notch, which to me, is one of the more important factors when deciding what brand to buy. They all look "pretty" in the store, it is service after the sale that counts the most!Easy to use setup menu, but suggest turning off the bass if you have hearing problems as the words seem a bit garbled at times.The picture is beautiful beyond belief! It is so good that after watching (football) on our TV, two friends both went out and each bought the same brand/model within weeks of each other. Can't give any better testament then that.The large, well written manual is easy to read and understand for the most part. A nice troubleshooting section helps if you have a problem. Saves calling tech support. The yellow, blue and red/green LED lights on the TV indicate the status of the TV. For example: if Yellow is ON and Red is BLINKING that indicates the lamp is not working properly, a voice (yes! the TV talks to you) "Lamp not working". How cool is that?I could go on and on, sure you can tell we LOVE our Toshiba.Thank You for reading.JD

  Weaknesses: Sound? But who uses the internal speakers anyways

  Overall Evaluation: At the time I bought this TV, it was the best bang for your buck. Going 65" at 1080p isn't exactly cheap if you plan on getting a plasma or LCD display. However, this DLP unit offers the great picture that other more expensive sets offer at an unbeatable price. The picture is great, and there is plenty of ports for all your connections. I haven't had any trouble with the TV yet, so no bad news to report. I bought a 3 year on-site warranty with 2 bulb replacements for $200, so that should pay for itself back since the bulbs will have to be replaced. Great TV overall!
