Strengths: I couldn't tell you the strengths of this drive as I couldn't get to recognize my fingerprints to even be able to use it.
Weaknesses: Good idea - but very poorly executed . . unable to get it to recognize my fingerprints after wasting over 45 min. And that was after reformatting the fingerprint ID for a second time!!!
Overall Evaluation: I have owned LaCie products in the past and never had a problem . . but this drive is useless!!!! If you can't get past the ID . . you might as well not have it connected at all. Definitely needs work before it will be a usable feature!!! I am returning it and want full credit on my charge . . . and I don't intend to pay a restocking fee for a defective product!!!!!!!!!!! If there were a no star category - this is where it belongs . . . .
