Microsoft PLUS! FOR WINDOWS XP

  Strengths: Beautiful screensavers and themes.

  Weaknesses: Product could not meet the rebate conditions.

  Overall: Very easy to install. A nice assortment of features. I got it just for the lifelike aquarium screensaver I had seen, but will check out the rest. Windows used to have more screensavers, now they make you pay extra.

  Strengths: Mercury Pool screen saver is awesome.

  Weaknesses: Aquarium screen saver could contain a greater variety of fish.

  Overall: This product is a good supplement to Windows XP. The themes and screen savers are well worth the price. The games are a lot of fun, especially the Labyrinth mazes.

  Weaknesses: Still limited versions of games, themes aren't anything special

  Overall: Only bother with this if you see specific features you might enjoy. Microsoft has now combined the new version of Plus (Media Edition) with this old one, to make the Plus Superpack (MSRP $30). This is a better choice, because you will get another set of add-ons for the Media Player too (if you use Windows MP, otherwise, forget it. IMHO, iTunes is a better choice.) Back to this specific item: The games are limited versions, but still fun (Labyrinth, Russian Square, Bowling). The Speaker adjustment is worthless, profiles for models are no longer being added. I personally don't use themes, so I can't comment on that. This version does include some Windows Media Player enhancements, such as Voice Command and 3d visualization. Never personally tried the Voice Command, as it takes up quite a few system resources to use. The 3d visualizations are okay, but they also take up system resources while in use. There is also a CD label generator, which I haven't used. Definitely an interesting combo here, but not worth more than $15, and you must be excited by the features offered. Definitely not a must have for Windows XP, like some plus versions for previous Windows versions.

  Overall: It is good to have one to enhance the outlook of your computer, also some good games, and enhanced video effects. I have no problem using it so far.

  Overall: I basically bought this product because I wanted to add more themes to my XP. I do not think it is worth the money because they could have added more themes.
