    Strengths: Just got it. Price-$49.99 at Big Lots. 48 bit color. OCR, fax Copy, slides & negatives. So far tests are +. Installation is a no brainer. Adobe Photoshop elements a big +

    Weaknesses: At $49.99 there really aren't any.

    Overall Evaluation: I just wanted something to archive photos and slides. This far exceeded my expectations. I would have paid twice as much for these features. What a bargain.

    Weaknesses: Does not scan slides correctly. They are scanned off centered.

    Overall Evaluation: I have had to take this scanner back to be exchanged three times, because it did not scan slides correctly. I contacted Visioneer only to be put on hold for over a month. Finally, I emailed them back telling them that I was taking it back and was going to purchase another brand. I do not recommend this scanner if your intent is to scan slides. You'll get a scanned slide that has the left side cut off. I will say, if you must have one, you can purchase it at your local Sam's Club for $58.99.
