Fuji FinePix 2600 Zoom 2.1MP 16MB SmartMedia 3X/2X NIMH USB
Fujifilm FinePix 2600 Zoom Review
- WHAT'S HOT: Fujifilm kept the 2600 Zoom extremely basic, which is both its strength and its weakness. This camera offers almost nothing beyond the essential controls you need to take a picture--which means it's unlikely to intimidate even the most novice photographer. Its few menus are extremely simple--none are more than two levels deep. Fujifilm didn't stint on the camera's storage: Our test camera included a 16MB SmartMedia card, about double the capacity you typically get with a 2-megapixel camera. Another nice touch is the two AA NiMH rechargeable batteries that come with a battery recharger. And the FinePix 2600 Zoom is a nice-looking camera, with its silver case and integrated sliding lens cover.

Duration of ownership:
Strengths: It won the best point and shoot camera award. What more can you say about it?
Weaknesses: No adapter included
Overall Evaluation: This camera is the best. The pictures are so realistic and life like. It has more than paid for itself in not going to the store to develop pictures. It has some difficulties in taking pictures at night without a tripod because it thinks it does not have enough light and the movement from your hands makes the pictures blurred without a flash, however, with a tripod this is quickly remedied. All in all, its a value that can't be beat :).

Strengths: Excellent Value. Easy to use.
Weaknesses: Lens cover can be a problem until you get used to it. 2 Megs is only 2 megs.
Overall Evaluation: By far the best value I could find in the 2 Meg category and under $300. Actually picked it up @ Overstock.com. Had previously owned a 1.3 Meg Fuji (left in S.F.) and this was the replacement which actully cost less than the original. Easy to use, decent software and editing.
