WHAT'S HOT: The Palm OS provides an easy-to-use calendar, an address book, and more. The Springboard slot lets you add extra memory, a modem, a digital camera, or other options.
WHAT'S NOT: The monochrome screen, with wimpy backlighting, is tough to see in dim environments. The pop-off screen cover is easier to lose than to use.
WHAT ELSE: Trippy, translucent cases (smoke, red, and blue) give this PDA some panache.
UPSHOT: An excellent choice if you're looking for a simple but versatile organizer at a low price.

Strengths: Simple and straightforward with long battery life.
Weaknesses: 8mb memory
Overall: I wanted a pda that was simple, straightforward and under $100- nothing fancy. This fit the bill fine and works well but no longer in production. Found one new one through pricegrabber and is working great. Only limitation is 8MB of memory. This is fine for what I use it for (addresses, calendar, phone numbers, etc) but not enough to run many of the higher powered programs today - mp3's etc. No color screen = long battery life. Takes 2 regular AA(or maybe AAA... can't remember) batteries. Great buy for me in June 2004.
