    Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks

    Strengths: Easy to use. Integrates well with other Microsoft products. Load from any digital Camera. Library allows you to file by date or whatever criteria you determine.

    Weaknesses:None that I have found.

    Overall Evaluation: I have had the Digital Image Suite for two versions now. The reason I upgraded was for the MS Photo Story piece that was added since Suite 9. Its a cool little tool that allows you to create and send (if you like) a photo story including commentary and/or music with a slide show. The rest of the suite is just the same (with improvements) incredible photo editing, library and cd/dvd creating programs that I have used in the past. Good stuff and with a $30.00 rebate it was worth the expense. Bought for $59 from a PriceGrabber recommended vendor.

    Duration of ownership: 3 Weeks

    Strengths: Easy to learn; "How to" help is super. All advanced image editing functions have the same interface. Simple automatic image fixes are easy to use. Red eye fix works great. Panorama creation is great.

    Weaknesses:Cannot save a selection as you can with PhotoShop Elements.

    Overall Evaluation: After having used Adobe PhotoShop Elements for awhile, but not having spent enough time with it to learn all the ins and outs, I was delighted to find MS DIS 2006 with pretty much the same capabilities. The interface is much more intuitive, with easy to use simple functions, and then getting down to the nitty gritty in a comfortable way, if the automatic image fix didn't do exactly what you wanted. Microsoft deserves a round of applause for this product. I don't love MS too much, but after having used Photo Story 3 and MS DIS 2006, I'm coming around!

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: This software will do almost anything you want to your photos including stuff like levels, and Raw files. Very easy to learn too.

    Weaknesses:None

    Overall Evaluation: This software has 2 main programs the editor and the library both are very good. After trying 12 diffrent editors over the last few years I'm keeping this one.
