Overall Evaluation: This drive seems faster than any other brand I have used. My system is really very quiet now. Never realized just how loud last drives were. Plus it was considerably cheaper!

Overall Evaluation: Samsung has a winner with the T166 series. With previous models they gained a well deserved reputation for being cool and quiet but can now boast top-tier performance as well. There's really nothing not to like here, which usually cannot be said with other manufacturers as there always seems to be some compromise. I always recommend running the applicable test utility before committing data -in this case HUTIL, which also allows adjusting Acoustic Management however the seeks are so quiet it may as well remain disabled.
