Strengths: Price, DVI Input, and 720P HD-Ready
Weaknesses:No height adjustment
Overall Evaluation: I've had this monitor for several months now. The picture quality is excellent, colors are bright and the 19" size allows me to have several applications open on my desktop and view them all at once. Picture adjustments are easy to use on are located on the right side of the monitor. There are several pre-defined picture modes (movie, game, picture and web. The auto calibration feature also works well.

Strengths: Great picture quality,@ 1440x900 through DVI. Slim and wall mountable. Price!
Weaknesses:Not height adjustable like others on the market. One dead pixel out of the box, stuck on blue, but only noticeable on black backgrounds, works flawlessly while gaming. As well as viewing video.
Overall Evaluation: I bought this for $199 tax incl, when I worked for Best Buy. It was a simple choice when the 21" cost $399 for only 2"'s more. Anything larger than a 19" I would go for a Samsung, but Gateway is on the right track. I worked for Samsung as well for 2 years, and this Gateway is quite comparable. Beats an NEC or Sony and deff a Dell hands down. Pickin up another one, once I finish my new Core 2 Duo build and my HTPC, running both monitors on a BFG GeForce 6800OC 256MB PCI-E card.

Strengths: This monitor is slim and I like its simple look. Excellent picture quality, text and graphics looks sharp. Setting it up was easy too!
Weaknesses:Stand is not height adjustable ? need to purchase separate kit (kits come with other extra features). Button to control the display is easy to reach, but kind of hard to align them to OSD
Overall Evaluation: Overall a great monitor at a great price for me ($176 after tax and rebate). Excellent display right out of the box, have not tried to calibrate it yet and have not tried the DVI connection

Review:
Gateway FPD1975W 19-Inch Wide-Screen LCD Monitor
This LCD monitor's image quality is average, and you'll have to pay extra for a DVI cable and adjustable stand.
The Gateway FPD1975W is cheap, but you'll need to settle for average image quality and shell out for extras (like a DVI cable) that should come standard.
