  Duration of ownership: 3 Weeks

  Strengths: Light weight, fast ,easy, and convenience recharing

  Weaknesses:have to cary the desktop stand in your car if you want to charge it in your car

  Overall Evaluation: Non convenience using expensive alkaline batteries, nor rechargeable batteries which I have to reprogram the unit every time I have to take these batteries out of the unit in order to recharge them. I tried to use regular battery, and it is very expensive to change it every week, and pay $6 or $8 for 8 batteries. Then I tried rechargeable battery, which costs me more than $20 for 8 batteries, and their charger. but I found that the unit became heavier, and each time I want to recharge my batteries, I have to take off the unit, recharge them, return them to the Unit, and finally I have to reprogram the unit again :( which is not convenience at all. I found this Midland AVP-4 Battery Pack, which is really very convenient, great value with that price, and very light in weight.

  Strengths: Easy to use, and fast, too!

  Overall Evaluation: I found the Midland AVP4 Dual Desk Top charger to be very easy to use. Plug the transformer in, plug into charger, drop radios in, voila! They're charging. Takes about 3 hours to fully charge after initial overnight charge; the only drawback is the power output is slightly less than the original, so it doesn't last that long, anyway, i am very satisfactory performance.

  Overall Evaluation: Just good for couple Midland model (LXT210, LXT310, LXT410, GXT500, GXT550, GXT555). Can be backup the walkie when the battery is out, come with the charger and the vehicle adapter is bonus.
