Duration of ownership:

Strengths: There are no straingths

Weaknesses:Dosn't work against my broadband, my IBM t23 dosen't work with the internal wireless. Have to set up an separate computer (firewall) and use it as a switch.

Overall Evaluation: DON'T by it. You better spend your money on some other router. This is my second one, the first one I bought disconnected from very frequently and the only solution in that problem was to restart it. Now I am using my old Fujutsi SIEMENS AP-600RP-USB, as a wireless connection.

Duration of ownership: 7 Days

Strengths: Speed

Weaknesses:May not work

Overall Evaluation: If yours works, great. However, it may not. So I'll skip my long story and offer 3 advices:(1) Buy local. Yes I know it's more expensive.(2) Don't try "support" - unless you have plenty of time. Go straight to the store to get it replaced or returned.(3) SunRocket IP phone users beware. Support from both vendors are no good.It's great speed when it works.

Duration of ownership: 3 Weeks

Strengths: Once I was able to position the attennas properly for the location where I place the router I receieved excellent signal strength throughout the entire house, even around corners. Easy setup also.

Weaknesses:I found it difficult to position the 3 attennas properly so that I could get good signal strength throughout the house. Found myself losing connection until I got the right position of all 3.

Overall Evaluation: I found the setup very simple when using the the Resource CD that came with the router. Pretty much just followed the steps that the wizard walks you through and I was connected in 15 minutes. You have to experiment with the antenna positions to get the proper signal strength in different locations of the house. I am not using either of the RangeMax 240 Wireless Adapters (WPNT511, WPNT121)and receive 54.4Mbps at approximately 75 feet away. I have had no problems or issues with this router in the 3 weeks that I have had it. Lots of advanced security settings also. Would recommend it.

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Low heat, cool looks. Great when hard wired. Lots of config. options and settings.

Weaknesses:Wireless connection drops due to incompadability issues with brand new Intel 3945 wireless card. Forget web /phone support or an easy fix; Set up sw not the greatest;

Overall Evaluation: I bought this based on the great reviews and ratings. I don't agree. From the start it was terrible. Set up SW had to run twice because it did no see the right config settings with my broadband service. Frequent reboots to access web interface too. Worst of all it drops the wireless connection with my new Dell notebook. Apparently it does not like the Intel 3945 card so it connects, then drops, then locks up. Reboot and start again. I returned it and bought a Linksys w/ Speedboost. No problems now and the Linksys was cheaper.

Duration of ownership: 60 Days

Strengths: Performance and range.

Weaknesses:Wireless portion is very unreliable.

Overall Evaluation: We have installed five units since May 2006 and two have failed. Both having to do with the wireless not working or working after reboot and failing after 5 minutes. Hopefully the rest of our installs stays up. A lot of unexplained drops. Don't use if you expect continuous conectivity.Spent days with the infamous Netgear tech support. Luckily we had multiple notebook brands(IBM, Dell,etc) including Macs and two type of Internet access, otherwise they were pointing fingers at everything except their own defective product. The RMA (must call by phone) itself took 50 minutes.Now Netgear offers advanced services for additional cost...what happened to standing behind your product from day one?
