Strengths: easy to use, a voice i can hear, a large screen ,good map, fast rerout and it is not as annoying the built in navigater

    Weaknesses:screen could be bigger.

Overall Evaluation: my wife likes it she thinks it's a neat little divice to have and much better than a map.the bottom line is the 7220 takes you where you want to go and rerouts with out a lot of aggervation.

Strengths: Large screen, sensical touch buttons, accurate calculations. The fm transmitter is a big plus

Weaknesses:The mounting bracket was useless,,although it was an easy fix.For the price it should have come with a case when not in use

Overall Evaluation: To fix the mount I utilized an old suction mount for a phone and secured it using small black cable ties which are out of sight. the unit does not budge as the base rests on the dash. overall, very happy with the purchase

    Duration of ownership: 1 Months

Strengths: The feature of being able to set up the type of vehicle for a route. ie truck routing vs car routing

Weaknesses:A little bulky but the large screen makes it easier to see all details while viewing from a passenger seat.

Overall Evaluation: We had a "Garmin III Plus" but the screen was too small to read while driving the RV. Our new Street Pilot 7200 is easily visible from both the driver and passenger seats in our motorhome. The ease of working on waypoints, routes, etc on our home PC and transferring to the Garmin is great. The voice instructions on the Garmin are clear and easily heard in our RV.

Strengths: Large screen, easy to use menus.

Weaknesses:Too large "Return to defaut" buttons.

Overall Evaluation: Great GPS for RVers. Map program to use with computer is great to create routes before loading into GPS. Can store locations for return trips. Would like to see more Points of Interest like campgrounds and State Parks.

    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

Strengths: Large and brilliant screen, even in bright sunlight; easy to program destinations; lots of POI; remote allows you to mount unit out of arms reach; quickly aquires satellite signal; accurate directions

Weaknesses:Top-heavy if mounting base not secured permanently on dash; not all bells & whistles as newer, smaller unit like Bluetooth Wireless; no battery option - always have to plug in with cable dangling

Overall Evaluation: This is one great Nav system! Not your normal handheld device that you have to lean over and squint to see all the details. If you've ever had a friend with a factory installed system in the dash and thought, "How cool, and big too," you'll like this one. Great system for those whose eyes are not as sharp as when we were younger. Entering addresses and creating your own routes are fairly simple, even for the electronically challenged. Maps and voice navigation is exceptionally accurate. Found a few new roads that were not in the map set, but it followed me cross-country. Had to do a little work on the buttons for the remote because they were getting stuck while depressed. You'll want to adhere the mounting bracket to the dash to avoid having the unit topple over since it is fairly heavy. Haven't had a chance to slip an SD card in the slot to play my MP3's, but it's suppose to play them over your car stereo. Will have to try it later. Overall, I'd recommend the unit if price isn't the determining factor. I paid about $830.00. A bit pricey, but the screen size and brightness is a big plus for me.
