The intuitive graphical user interface features clear, color graphics and text that let you "touch and choose" what you want, so you can start using your system from the very first day quickly and easily.Discover greater musical enjoyment with more powerful reproduction. This 4-channel MOS-FET built-in amp delivers 50W to each speaker for a 200W total output. Unlike bipolar transistors, MOS-FETs have low crossover distortion for excellent signal-to-noise ratio in the high range. These power transistors are ideal for handling DVD's frequency response which is more dynamic than CDs. Their high efficiency also means low power consumption and low heat radiation.Right from the start, the CQ-VD7003U comes with built-in 5.1 channel Dolby Digital and DTS decoders--the essential keys to theater surround sound in your car. A complete array of parameters permits optimization of 5.1-channel surround sound reproduction for the actual installation in your vehicle. A Dolby Pro Logic II?2 decoder is also included so you can enjoy surround sound from a regular stereo source.With the CQ-VD7003U, you can use the extensive setup menu to select a completely automatic monitor extension/retraction instead of the usual button-activated procedure. Then all you have to do is turn the ignition key (ACC ON) and the monitor will slide out and up to your pre-selected angle. Likewise, when you stop the car and turn the ignition off (ACC OFF), the monitor will automatically retract.Most people think of their DVD player simply as a movie machine. This model not only plays prerecorded DVDs and DVD-Audio discs, but also MP3, WMA, CDs, DVD-R/RW and CD-R/RW discs! For your listening pleasure, the acclaimed Alphatuner V FM/AM tuner circuitry is built into this unit as well, and there are 18 FM and 6 AM presets. Strengths: Best thing money can buy

Weaknesses:none

Overall Evaluation: This iteam is very good for traveling. I hooked up to 12inch subs to my armada with this radio, it was the life of the party. I would recomend this product to anyone who wants to up grade!

Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Picture quality superb, very intuitive GUI, easily upgradeable

Weaknesses:No apparent weaknesses

Overall Evaluation: This unit is great value for money and the picture quality is clear. Had a look at some other similar units from Sony, Pioneer, Kenwood and JVC, at the local car stereo store and this unit had all the features without the heavy price tag. This Panasonic unit had a better LCD screen compared with Sony and JVC but was very similar to Pioneer's car LCD unit. This unit also plays DVD-R and with a firmware upgrade, can also play PAL and other region discs as well. There are also two RCA AV inputs so its easy to add a Garmin navigation unit to AV1 and a TV tuner to AV2.
