    Strengths: Clarity, somewhat comfortable

Weaknesses:No bass, too bright (too much highs)

Overall Evaluation: Despite other good reviews, I found the CX300 disappointing in performance. Although clarity is good, there is no bass but too much highs. It is too bright and not balanced. It is worse than the iPod earphones which I intend to replace. In comparison testing, my old and dusty Sony MDR-E262 (walkman era) sounds a lot better than this one. I am returning it for a refund.

Strengths: Has very nice clear sound

Weaknesses:Bass is very good, but not as good as expected

Overall Evaluation: Would certainly purchase again, especially at price from this merchant. Sound is overall exceptionally high quality, and the ear buds fit comfortably. Still not the best of sound fidelity that the Sennheiser PX100 produces.

Strengths: Great bass for ear buds, nice high-end as well.

Weaknesses:No clip to stop them from accidentally being pulled out of your ears.

Overall Evaluation: Several different brands like Sony and Sure feature crystal-clear highs, which is definitely a plus, however what I found they lacked was a decent low-end bass, as is with most other in-ear noise-isolating earbuds. I found a very decent bass in the Sennheiser CX300-Black (color doesn't matter of course). Quite frankly I don't know how they put that much low-end in these little things, but Sennheiser has been working with sound for decades. This is my second pair for home, my first set I use at work. Highly recommended if you want to hear the full spectrum, not just the highs.

Strengths: Sound is good but not great

    Weaknesses:fitting in ear is unsatisfactory

Overall Evaluation: Although these ear phones come with 3 sizes of ear buds, none fit properly. The medium is too small and the large is too big. The cord for the left ear is much shorter than that for the right ear and is at times troublesome. The sound is ok but only slightly better than the sound provided by the earphones that came with my ipod. I've gone back to using the earphones that came with the ipod.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Years

Strengths: Noice cancelling, clear with good bass, light cable

Weaknesses:Sometimes pops out of position once in the ear

Overall Evaluation: Have had my CX300 for over a year already, and they are still going strong. More importantly, I am still using them! I regularly replace my headphones every 6 months or so, after I get bored of the sound or after they break. The sound from these little phones are quite remarkable, I would say as good as any full size Sennheiser headphones that I have had over the past 10 years. Bass is solid and not muddy or overwhelming, mids and highs are clear and defined. The sound is great with the many styles of music that I listen to from Classical to Jazz and Rock. If I were to lose or break the set I have now, I wouldn't hesitate in purchasing another pair.
