    Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks

Strengths: Fast, a lot of features, great value

Weaknesses:No auto document feeder, slightly ugly, no network port

Overall Evaluation: I've upgraded to this printer from an inkjet all-in-one (Dell A920), and this is much better - more features, faster, it's a standalone copier & fax, and, being a laser printer, the print output is much crisper. Having a printer tray and a manual paper feeder is nice. I really like the options to scan to pdf, a file, or any programs of your choice, but you do have to configure it if you want to be able to preview the scan first. It would be nice to have an auto document feeder, but since I only use this at home, it's not necessary. This printer isn't the nicest-looking, but it certainly has the best value for the price.

Strengths: really fast printing, great quality. good toner saver mode

Weaknesses:cartridge expensive, it's big, no duplex printing

Overall Evaluation: got mine on sale. pretty happy with it. good quality for printing, scanning, copying. very fast. noise is tolerable. Really like its fast printing. Amazing! lack of duplex printing feature. toner save mode is great! But for the price I paid, I can't complain about it. highly recommneded!

    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

Strengths: Easy setup, sharp text, relatively quick wakeup/warmup.

    Weaknesses:No auto document feeder.

Overall Evaluation: Given that I bought this on sale and with coupon, for the price I paid, I would say this printer was an excellent buy. It is great to have the power saving mode and it does not take too long to warm up. Text printing is sharp. Printout is crisp not rolled up. Graphic printing is just OK. Can't comment on the fax since I haven't use that feature. It does color scanning. It would be nice if it does automatic document feeder. Size is not compact but then it is an AIO laser printer.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Fast response, good multifunction capabilities

Weaknesses:average print quality, lack of duplexing, bulky

Overall Evaluation: Great little machine thats worth the price. However, with competition in this category, Canon should have included duplexing capabilities in it. Asking for built in networking is perhaps a tad too much. While response time is good, graphics suffer from a slight loss of detail. Text is pleasing. Scanning and Faxing work fine as well.

    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

Strengths: Fast print, clear texts, and charts, scanner and fax work perfectly

Weaknesses:It's not the quietest machine I've ever heard, toner saver mode is irritating.

Overall Evaluation: Canon Multifunction Toolbox 4.9. This is a great feature I've experienced with this printer so far. It allows you to click one button, go through a couple simple settings, and then get a scan and go straight to an e-mail, or straight to a PDF, etc. This is a very good multifunction device for light/moderate home or home office use.
