    Strengths: Tough! This is a durable piece of equipment. It's large footprint keeps it stable on the ground. It's built to resist dust and moisture. Perfect for taking on an outdoor job.Oh yeah it will get loud!

    Weaknesses:Its good size, you won't really be able to use it around the house, unless your moving. It's one of those stereos that belongs in the garage or an open basement.

    Overall Evaluation: I bought this to replace a Sony CD player that tipped over and broke on a job I was doing. Finding a decent box that will play a cd that I've burned a bunch (100+)of songs on is getting tough in this Ipod era. This one fits the bill perfectly. Everything about it is durable and it still sounds great. I'd do it again in a minute.

    Strengths: mp3 playback, rugged design, rich sound

    Weaknesses:no remote

    Overall Evaluation: I am happy with this boombox. it is one of the less expensive in its class, but performs to my satisfaction and is built very well. Also, I was very happy with the shipping speed of the vendor.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Tough main body with Aux. input for MP3 player which I wanted -- CD player a bonus.

    Weaknesses:Too large for convenient everyday use. Handle on top is awkward to carry.

    Overall Evaluation: I was looking for an everyday, outdoor radio with MP3 player capabilities and this fit the bill on paper. Sound quality was good and having the CD player on it was an added bonus. However, the unit is bulky to say the very least and the Handle, carrying feature is much too awkward for carrying out to the yard or beach. The built in compartments in the back of the unit seem to be made of cheaper plastic . . . and seem like they would break easily as well. For the price of this unit, I actually expected a more substantial unit. Overall, I would say I was not pleased with the quality for the money on this unit.
