    Overall Evaluation: This has been an excellent low cost setup for me. I have experienced excellent battery life and very good performance. I have no complains - it fills the need for which it was purchased.

    Strengths: Comfortable, wireless, great operating range, long battery life.

    Weaknesses:Drivers aren't native in Windows XP.

    Overall Evaluation: When purchasing a new barebone desktop system, I found myself needing a USB mouse and keyboard. The Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 fit the bill perfectly! Installation was a bit tricky, as Windows XP didn't recognize the devices, and I didn't have another pointing device connected to make use of the installation CD. After finding a corded USB mouse, installation was a snap, and the Microsoft Wireless Optical Desktop 700 worked perfectly! After three months of continual use in an office, I haven't even needed to change batteries in either device yet! The keyboard and mouse are also very comfortable to use, and not having them attached by a cord is quite convenient!

    Strengths: signal range, media controls in keyboard

    Weaknesses:keyboard could more compact

    Overall Evaluation: the manual says the signal range is 2m. radius. I plugged the notebook to my 50?? TV and from the sofa (far 4m. from receiver) I can browse the internet, play games and watch movies. The keyboard has media controls (play, pause, volume +/-, mute) so I don?t need to use the mouse to open the media controllers. For $25 is a very nice deal.
