Strengths: Great printing quality. Great scans when used with ScanGear or the included Software (It's brand name softare on the disc). Makes great copies.
Weaknesses:Very slow on startup, very slow on first print. Makes a lot of noise, takes like 50 seconds to actually start printing, ridiculous! Uses a lot of colour ink, but I only print Text documents so I just leave the empty colour ink and only buy black ink!
Overall Evaluation: My first all in one printer, only bought it for the scanner since I already have a copier and 3 other printers, but is great to do all of that without switching rooms!

Strengths: The quality of prints is great, can make copies without having to plug into computer, great compact design
Weaknesses:Ink usage
Overall Evaluation: The Canon MP160 is my first all-in-one. So with that said here is the good: It has a great design - very small and compact. It is very easy to learn how to use. The print quality for what the printer cost me definitely exceeds my expectations. I definitely love how I don't have to turn on my computer to make copies. The bad: How much ink the printer uses definitely leaves a lot to be desired. The cartridges are pretty expensive and you can only seem to use OEM cartridges since Canon has it set up that you have to install a new cartridge in order for it to tell you how much ink you have left. Overall, I would definitely buy this printer again. It is just what I needed.

Duration of ownership: 60 Days
Strengths: all in one, it can scan, copy and ofcourse print
Weaknesses:consume a lot of inkout of date
Overall Evaluation: Anyway, it is a good printer which can scan, copy and print. Its photo quality is quite good, no wonder it is from Canon. The problem is that it drinks inks. My ink ran out quickly especially I print some pictures. Canon ink is expensive. In addition, this product is likely to be discontinued. But I cannot complain more, because it is free when purchased with a laptop.

Strengths: compact, easy to setup and use, affordable price
Weaknesses:missing fax, expensive ink, no usb cable
Overall Evaluation: Nice compact printer for an affordable price. Would have been great if it had a faxing option. High quality printing and scanning; much better than the epson I have been using. Ink as usual is expensive.

Strengths: all-in-one, good quality
Weaknesses:big, heavy, ink price
Overall Evaluation: Maybe I'm not a big fan of these all-in-ones. Although this prints good quality, I notice the scan quality is not satisfactory to me. It is also lacking support with Linux.
