Tamrac Digital 6 Camera Bag

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Made from very tough water resistant material. Perfect fit for Canon S5IS. Ample pockets for memory cards, batteries, cables etc.

Weaknesses:No strap for securing a mini-tripod or Gorillapod. The plastic clasp that holds the case closed is weak.

Overall Evaluation: This is my second Tamrac case (the first was a 5693 for my underwater personal shooter) and I love it. There are one or two small features missing, but the fit is dead on for my S5IS. Don't let other reviews fool you, the Tamrac Explorer is NOT a good fit for the S5IS. The 5696 is tailored to this specific camera. High marks all around except for the terrible plastic clasp they use for the lid. I almost would have preferred some kind of magnetic clamp or a zipper. One handed open/closing is impossible.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Great construction, many features for small size

Weaknesses:Could use a slightly deeper external pocket

Overall Evaluation: This is my 4th Tamrac photo bag, all with their own purpose. This was purchased for a Sony Mini DV camcorder. The bag holds the camcorder, charger, extra battery, 3 extra tapes, and the remote control. Tamrac makes a fine bag, and this is no exception. The only thing I'd like in this bag is a slightly deeper external pocket.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Well padded, multiple pockets

    Weaknesses:awkward clasp

Overall Evaluation: This camera bag seems well made. It has good padding and multiple pockets. It is also a decent size for large cameras. My only complaint is that the flap to close the bag is closed by both velcro and a clasp. Usually this would be good because of the extra security. However the clasp is short and awkward making opening the clasp difficult.

    Duration of ownership: 1 Months

Strengths: It fits the camera I bought it for.

    Weaknesses:None

Overall Evaluation: I bought this to hold a Canon S3 IS. I have a 52 mm lens adaptor with a UV filter and lens hood (from http://www.lensmateonline.com ) and it all fits snugly into this case.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: The black color bag looks so cool and elegant. The materials seem of good quality, but I have to see what happens with the day to day use. Good cushioning to protect the camera.

Weaknesses:Maybe the compartments for the extra attachments are slightly tight.

Overall Evaluation: I bought this camera bag for my Panasonic FZ20, I think was a good choice. You can carry it to everywhere because of its compact size. Besides it´s prepared for you can carry it in your belt, or like the majority of the camera bags, by shoulder strap, that could be important, depending where you go, or what else are you carrying.
