Strengths: 1080i programming looks very good. The black sleek look will look cool in almost any room.
Weaknesses:Regular programming is average, has difficulty with some Reds, the processor is not really fast. Speakers are average.
Overall Evaluation: Purchased it about three weeks ago, looks really good on HD, especially through HDMI connection. Havent had any problems with it, though the sound quality is average at best and at times it has issues going from black screen to white. 2 HDMI inputs are definitely a plus. Its design looks very good, Samsung is know for sleek design and this one doesnt dissapoint. For the price you pay it is still better or similar to most 50 inch HDTVs on the market (1080P excluded).

Strengths: 2 Year WarrantyGreat designSamsung Quality
Weaknesses:Anti-Glare screen seems to take away brightness
Overall Evaluation: After buying and returning a Phillips TV I could not be happier with the Samsung. The black bezel is beautiful and the picture is out of this world. The only complaint is a soft buzzing sound coming from the back of the TV. I called Samsung and they are getting someone out right away. Now that is what i call customer service! This TV is so bright and life-like that I find myself mesmerized by the picture. This is a great tv and with a 2 year warranty what do i have to worry about?

Strengths: Picture is outstanding compared to other expensive Plasma on the market
Weaknesses:Typical Plasma, produces alot of heat and was hoping to have more HDMI output.
Overall Evaluation: This is the first time I have owned a Samsung TV and I would say this will not be the last. I am very impressed with the picture quality and not to mentioned the ease of using the remote control. Setting it up was a breeze and not to mention the Wiselink. Now I can see the real digital pictures at its best on a 50" plasma TV. I would recommend this to my family and to those who are looking for a new Plasma. The quality and the price is not bad compared to other Plasma out there in the market. Definitely a buy in my book.

Strengths: Picture quality and color are outstandingPIP, 6 way speakers, 2 year warranty.Great looking cabinet
Weaknesses:Average picture on non hi def channels
Overall Evaluation: I researched all flat panel plasma TV's for 6 months and came down to this and the Pioneer. Best Buy and Circuit City all recommended it. When I saw it go to $1800 with 6 months financing from an online retailer, I bought from them with no problems whatsoever. I am extremely pleased with this TV.

Overall Evaluation: I purchased this Plasma online having fallen in love with it at major store. Saved myself a fortune and got one of the best plasma's on the market. Easy plug and play with no issues what so ever. Digital Amp, DVD, VCR, and Cable box all came together and now I'm enjoying this great set. If you are considering this set or the S5053 don't hesitate you will not be disappointed.
