  Overall Evaluation: This software is very easy to install. Just put the CD and follow the instructions. It does a good job in scanning and cleaning viruses on the computer. I got it free after rebate, so that is a very good deal. If you don't want rebate hassles, you can also get many free anti-virus softwares available on the internet.

  Overall Evaluation: This product seems to work acceptably, it runs reasonably well compared to other virus suites I've used, and the user interface is straightforward. Coupled with the upgrade rebate, it is a solid buy.

  Strengths: Solid AV product, less resource intensive than many AV products, good company with good support, reliable rebates

  Weaknesses:Still a bit more resource intensive than you would hope

  Overall Evaluation: McAfee makes a solid AV product here as they usually do. It is less resource intensive than most other AV products on the market, so that is a win for many users. It is easy to setup and use, so after you deploy it you can basically forget about it. (Aside from the resource usage, of course.) If you are looking for an industry-leading AV product, you will not go wrong with McAfee VirusScan.

  Strengths: Easy Installation and cheaper

  Weaknesses:Protects and slows you down at the same time.

  Overall Evaluation: My PC takes longer to boot up (and it's an old system to begin with) and my webpages take forever to load. Even my husband, who has a new laptop, notices the slowness in performance. When I check the processes that are running on my PC it shows that McAfee is at 40,000KB + on my Mem Usage.
