Strengths: None
Weaknesses:Everything!
Overall Evaluation: I've used 120G passport HD for a year and suddenly my computer doesn't recognize this HD so I lost all valuable datas. However I tried to re-format this HD to re-use but it still doesn't work. So I called WD customer support and they said 1 year warranty is expired and they tried to charge for just talking to technical support so I complained it so they gave me free one time tech support! And I did what they said and still didn't work and they said there's no way I can fix this problem and they can't help me either. So I had to throw away. Do not buy this HD!!!!

Duration of ownership: 2 Months
Strengths: Compact, nice shell
Weaknesses:The case is gloss. I would have preferred matte.
Overall Evaluation: Overall no problems with this product. It has good memory for the price and has worked without fail so far (I have saved about 30GB on it). Again it is compact and light (easily portable).

Strengths: Friend said WD is the only way to go.
Weaknesses:none
Overall Evaluation: It was a gift, and the recipient says it works great. A techie said that it was a good deal, so I purchased it. So far, so good! It is really cool looking, and little.

Duration of ownership: 1 Months
Strengths: small size, weight, portability, capacity
Weaknesses:Product failed after about 10 hrs power on; lousy customer service
Overall Evaluation: I love the drive, but I?m here to tell you all that Western Digital is one messed up company. My drive crashed and needs to be replaced (under warranty). It took 4 business days, not the 1 business day the web site promises, to get an email reply. The instructions were incomplete and it took several message exchanges (2 more days) before I got adequate instructions to confirm the drive is unusable. I got an RMA, paid $20 extra for overnight shipping for a replacement drive, and still have not received the replacement drive over a week later. Their web RMA status page lists the ship date, but no shipper tracking number. When I call in, my call is either dropped or they are willing to keep me on hold with no hold time indication until I have to do something else and drop out of the queue. When I finally did get to talk to a CSR after more than 10 minutes of hold time, he indicated that the replacement drive was not shipped on the date that the RMA web page says, but he cannot provide a tracking number. Bottom line: don?t trust Western Digital! If you're data is valuable, use a reliable back-up as well.

Strengths: Looks good, quiet, cool, rather fast.
Weaknesses:Easily scratches, WD Sync crashes, Activity LED died...
Overall Evaluation: I've been using this product for 2 months now, and it has its strengths and its weaknesses. On the good side, it does what it's intended for, keep some backup, just in case. The drive looks good on the desk, is absolutely quiet, cool and is truly plug n' play. I keep in it files for my work laptop and my home laptop, It was the greatest thing to have when I had to reinstall Windows from scratch. It's not as fast as you'd expect, but that's probably because my laptop's Bios default was to keep the USB ports to the 1.1 standard. The bad comes next: the beautiful shiny surface scratches too easily, I have it in a pouch and I'm very careful, but no matter how much I am, there are several scratches on the surface. The cable it came with, is truly short, so if you do not intend to use it exclusively with a laptop you'll need to purchase another cable or use your digital camera's one. At work my laptop sits on a docking station, so I had to get another cable. The activity led just died today for no particular reason, I though the drive was damaged, but it still works, I just can't tell by seeing the rather good looking blue LED. What really bothers me, is the constant crashing of the WD Sync software, no matter how much I update it it keeps crashing, and I'm afraid for my data. I guess that for the time being I' copy all the data to my hard drives, and then recopy it using True crypt, the bad, I won't be able to access my data on all computers. If anybody knows about some descent synching software, please reply. Hope this helps someone...
