    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Mids, Highs, and bass all sound quite good.

    Weaknesses:NO

Overall Evaluation: This headphone has a feature which Koss calls ?Comfort Zone.? Light weight, I think the Portapro?s are just about the most comfortable headphones I have ever listened to! Mids, Highs, and bass all sound quite good.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: great, deep sound; easy to stow away; lifetime warranty

    Weaknesses:hair can occasionally get stuck

Overall Evaluation: Like most of you, I was deciding between the Koss Portapros and the Sennheiser PX100's. I read all of the reviews online, went with the PortaPros and haven't looked back. The design from these is straight off the pages of your latest hipster mag. The PX100's felt a little chinsey, disturbing since they only have a 2 year warranty as opposed to the Koss lifetime. All in all, I really like these headphones and don't plan on buying another one until I become enough of an audiophile to pick up a pair of SR60's. You won't be disappointed.

    Duration of ownership:

    Strengths: Comfortable, Deep bass, Collapsible

    Weaknesses:None, really

Overall Evaluation: I already had a pair of Sennheiser px-100 headphones, but I decided I needed something that would cut through the cacophony of the subway a little better. These do the trick. I wish I had bought them first.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: portable, very high midrange and lifetime warranty

    Weaknesses:lacking in bass responce

Overall Evaluation: I took my time and did the research and found these headphones to be in the top three in great headphones for under $50. These headphones in my opinion are awesome and the sound definitely proves it. The bass responce is a little lacking but overall great headphones.

Strengths: Very comfortable. Excellent lows to highs with nice bass. Good price.

Weaknesses:None to speak of, unless you consider the open headphone design a weakness, in which case you should be buying something else.

Overall Evaluation: The Sennheiser PMX100s I had been using for the last several months decided to self-destruct, that is, the cord started to fray, eventually resulting in a very noticeable drop in sound quality. I couldn't deal with it anymore and decided to toss them and get myself a new pair. The question was to either get a duplicate pair, with which I would be assured of sound quality, but faced with the prospect of their eventual breakage; or get a different set, propelling me into the world of the unknown. After much research I decided on the much-touted Koss PortaPro. Upon delivery, I took them for the proverbial "spin" with my mp3 player. I get excellent clarity and volume with these phones, even when running them on a device powered by one rechargeable AA battery. They were a stark contrast to the Sony MDR-W08s I had been using in the meantime. I've been using them every day since I got them, so there's no question about them being "broken in". I can sincerely recommend them to anyone wanting a pair of reasonably priced, yet quality headphones.
