Duration of ownership: 1 Years
Strengths: Nice color screen, slim, easy to control, storage space is just perfect enough for me
Weaknesses:Battery life for videos is very short, very prone to scratches, interface can be sluggish at times
Overall Evaluation: This iPod is an excellent replacement to my iPod mini, which got stolen a while ago. I actually have a new iPod video right now (had to get it replaced at Apple Store because I replaced the battery in my old one and everything f***ed up). I think that the battery really lasts for 14 hours because I have to charge it up every week or 2 because I always listen to my iPod on the way to school. The video playback is absolutely amazing! The only part I don't like about the video playback is that the battery life is really short for it. Some other things I like about this iPod is that if you have firmware 1.2 (I think), you can purchase games from your iPod from the iTunes Store. You can also do this with the iPod nano 3rd generation, and the iPod classic. Overall, I think that this iPod is amazing! If you don't have the money for a newer iPod, I think you should buy this iPod. Worth every cent!

Strengths: Great Color Screen; Size; Controls.
Weaknesses:Battery Life; Fragility; Both sides of the device are prone to scratching.
Overall Evaluation: Everybody has seen an iPod. They are cool looking, easy to use, and not so expensive anymore. I received mine a few days ago and its not a bad machine, but it does have its flaws. The battery life does not last 14 hours. It lasts 10-12 hours. The case that comes in the box isn't bad, but it is not convenient. I bought a case quickly as I was already seeing scratches on the device. The real cost of having an iPod should be 280 dollars instead of the standard 250. You will need a case if you want to keep it looking brand new. There are pros, however. I immediately knew how to control the device and the screen is fantastic. You should definitely get this product, but if you are worried about scratches, get the white version. The scratches are less visible.

Strengths: easy to use, lots of space, stores your photos
Weaknesses:scratches very easy, not sweat proof, crashes sometimes, delicate headphone jack. no bluetooth
Overall Evaluation: I bought mine a little over a year ago, at first I was crazy about it But after a while I've found it to be a big time hog, this thing sucks up hours and hours of your time to set up playlists and select songs etc..scratches super easy I had many different cases dirt always finds its way into the case so it gets scratched anyway so dont bother with a case (they add bulk too), just the screen protector labels seem to work. I have about 2,000 songs on mine and apple came out with a newer version of Itunes which crashed my computer while installing, by the time I finally got it reinstalled, Itunes had lost the locations to all my songs, and wanted me to locate each individual song file and reconnect it to the name 1 at a time so I lost all my playlists that took me months to put together. I just got a phone which will hold 2gb minisd cards and has stereo bluetooth so I can listen to music without wires and get calls, less stuff to carry and havent touched my Ipod since.

Weaknesses:Too easy to scratch, hard drives weak to movement.
Overall Evaluation: Not many people have Ipods in Spain, or at least not where I live. Just as many people I thought the Ipod was an overhyped mp3 player, I laughed at how people could spend so much money on something which was the same as any other player. I also thought you could only play music you bought from Itunes. Nevertheless I still felt attracted to the Ipod. When I was in England with my family (I am British but live in Spain) I saw everyone had one. I don't mean young kids, I mean vets like me who used it on their way to work. When I started working the idea of an Ipod suddenly became more and more attractive. I wanted to find out what the deal was! After two months reading iLounge I decided it was time to find out. I am so happy I decided to buy one, it is really worth the money. Now I understand what the hype is about. The capacity is amazing, you don't need to decide what to take every day. Auto synchronisation is really comfortable and it's really quick! With other DAPs you need to wait years for each song to upload. And it's more than just a music box: now I listen to audiobooks, podcasts, watch videos and video podcasts. It's brilliant. Suddenly you wonder how you managed without it!The battery lasts a long time if you think about it and it's so quick to charge. It's a pity it doesn't come with a wall charger but I understand why they don't supply them in the box anymore. The screen is really bright and clear, and the definition is really good. It surprised me! Audio quality is much better than any other player I have had, even with the stock earphones. More than anything else the best feature are the smart playlists. With so many GB of music you would be listening to the same songs if it weren't for the intelligent Ipod. I have so many smartplaylists I don't know which to listen to! I have one for every occasion, style and mood. Even thouugh the Ipod is really expensive in Spain (I paid over 350 dollars for the 30 gb one) I am really pleased and don't regret it whatsoever! Now I want accesories!!!
