    Duration of ownership: 1 Weeks

    Strengths: Good all-in-one unit

Weaknesses:A little bulky, but not too bad

Overall Evaluation: So far, so good. I like the fact that this prints, scans, copies, and faxes. I don't plan on using it to fax at all, but I like the print/scan/copy features. I am replacing two printers with this one unit.So far, I am happy. Setup was easy, and there haven't been any problems yet.

    Duration of ownership: 4 Months

Strengths: strong feature set - doc feeder, scanner, duplex, multiple tray option, good print quality

Weaknesses:build could be a bit better (plastic a little light, but not terrible), doc feeder can be heavy on the hinge, no duplex scanning via doc feeder, annoying how any changes when warming up is lost

Overall Evaluation: this dell mf offers a lot of features for a reasonable price. laser printing output for text is very good, graphics are acceptable. scanning is fast for both the flatbed and doc feeder. the usb port on the front is a nice addition for a quick scan or print.most annoying thing is changes during warm up (less than 10 seconds) are lost. also, duplex scanning would be nice as well as auto recognition of the type of paper in the scanner (letter vs legal). this machine does the basics well with some extras that can be used when needed.
