Duration of ownership: 3 Months

Strengths: a lot of punch for the price.especially after a memory upgrade.

Weaknesses:battery life.

Overall Evaluation: A very good price.battery could last longer.I like the software it came with.Very light easy to stay mobile with.80 gig harddrive is ample for me.I really enjoy using it.

Strengths: bright display viewable in most lighting conditions, great battery life, light enough to carry long hours, well spaced keyboard O.K. layout, good speakers with a nice audio program that adjusts for speakers or headphones well

Weaknesses:easily scratched case, advertisement button in startup that cannot be removed, kicks out a-lot of heat

Overall Evaluation: o.k. so i got this laptop after owning an IBM G40 and this machine to me is fine for everyday computing. it came with XP MCE which at times can lag but is overall good especially when organizing backup DVDs its fairly light weight so it isn't an issue to carry around for a long period of time. the built in media card reader is great for me because i love my digicam, and the s-video out is great for presentations

Strengths: Small and expandable memory

Weaknesses:LCD will go bad, speakers are not loud enough, battery life will weaken and eventually not hold a charge, hard drive will freeze up on occasion

Overall Evaluation: Worst laptop that I have ever owned. The battery will eventually not hold a charge after a year or so and the LCD goes bad on a lot fo these. They did not make the speakers very loud either. Sometimes my hard drive will lock up on it as well.

Strengths: overall very good laptop. easy to use and lightweight

Weaknesses:dvd/cd drive plays garbled cds/dvds

Overall Evaluation: i purchased this computer b/c it had everything that i wanted. i had it for about a week when i noticed the dvd/cd drive when played sounded garbled. i took it back and exchanged it. the 2nd one worked ok for a few months but now the drive is doing the same thing. when i play a cd or dvd through the computer the sound comes through garbled or distorted. the support ppl at best buy told me there was nothing to fix it and it was a known problem. anyone else having this issue? I have not seen anything similar in reviews.. Please help.. i have a warranty but i also have a lot of stuff on here and dont want to just lose it all

Overall Evaluation: uhm i think when u take plus 1GB ram and u uninstall all the programs that do not need for u, and u can install later, the machine `ll go so fast.try!
