Duration of ownership: 1 Months
Strengths: Good sound quality
Weaknesses:Not the best fit in the ear
Overall Evaluation: I bought the set to use it with my iPod while riding my motorcycle. The sound quality is very good, but the earbud can easily slide out and they don't provide noise isolation.

Strengths: Remarkable clarity and comfort. A huge upgrade from regular ear buds.
Weaknesses:None
Overall Evaluation: Clarity and comfort. A bit pricy, but they are so much better than the ear buds that come with ipods that it is worth it. You realize how good the podcasts and music downloads really are when you have this piece of equipment.

Strengths: very comfortable. great sound quality
Weaknesses:tips come off too easily
Overall Evaluation: i loved the feel of these headphones as soon as i put them in my ears. the traditional soft earbud shapes start to hurt my ears after a while and i have not experienced any discomfort with the bose design. i lost one of the tips as i was pulling the headphones out of my coat pocket. i didn't even realize it until the next time i wanted to use them. bose did send me replacement tips. i think i will go ahead and purchase another replacement set to have on hand. i hope bose does a redesign in this area. i also purchased the extension wire, not knowing what to expect with the headphones. the extension is probably 6' long! i am not sure when i will ever need such a long extension but for the extra $10 i paid, i was surprised at what i received.

Strengths: The right ear works great.
Weaknesses:The left ear doesnt at all
Overall Evaluation: Ordering on line from Abe of Maine was very convenient but defective products must be returned to the manufacturer if the package is opened. Of course you cannot know if the earphones are defective until you open the package. The manufacturer has a delightful recording telling me to send it back and hope for the best.

Strengths: Decent sound quality
Weaknesses:Buds fall out of ears way too easily, rubber tips fall off very easily, way to pricy for bad engineering.
Overall Evaluation: Like many of you my search for the holy grail of ear buds continues. I have purchased literally dozens of ear buds in my quest, from $20 to $150, and had such high hopes for Bose's first entry into the ear bud category. While these earbuds have better than average sound, the frustration of trying to not only keep them in your ears, but keeping the gummy ear adapters on them is a lost cause. If you listen to music while sitting, and never take you earphones outside of a 5 feet radius then these may be fine for you. Otherwise save your money and get some Philips HE591's or HE592's. They are only $23 and sound better.
