    Strengths: Unfortunately not many

    Weaknesses:Please see my comments

Overall Evaluation: Had bought this phone in January 2009 and waited a while before I began using it with Skype. Finally I bought a world subscription and gave it a test drive. The phone unfortunately is worse than a cell phone. The callers either could not hear me or I could not hear them. Then invariably the phone would log-off and then log-on.The technology for this does not seem to be there unless Skype adapts SIP protocol for the consumer market AND offers phones that will truly work.To Belkin's credit they're issuing me a full refund so, I guess this was a BETA project after all.

Overall Evaluation: Steer clear of this product. Major problems with network connectivity. It disconnects every 5 seconds or so. Battery life is terrible. Flash upgrade does not work.

Strengths: I did not find any strength. It was just too bad.

    Weaknesses:The whole peace is weak.

Overall Evaluation: I live in a one bedroom apartment and the phone looses connection the whole time. Sometimes, it does not ring and I had to run to the computer to answer a call. I returned the belkin I purchased. I would not recommend.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Easy to use, easy to setup. Small and compact: just a candy-bar cellphone. Looks great. Dual voltage 110/220 AC adapter great for Europe/Asia (but only has US plugs)

Weaknesses:Mediocre caller volume. Short talktime of around 45min to 1hr between charge. No reset button: need to remove battery to reset. Only has US plugs: need adapter for Europe/Asia. No chat capability.

Overall Evaluation: It's a great concept and design in principal but falls short in reality. The battery life for voice calls is limited to about 1hr. You can only make voice calls on this device: You cannot "text" chat with your Skype buddies. Another warning: It does not have a built-in web browser and you will not be able to access WIFI hotspots that require web-based login/authentication. However, it does support Boingo hotspots (which I don't have an account). There's no speakerphone on this device. Volume from callers seem softer than most cellphones. The LCD is not very clear outdoors. I like the ability to scan for strongest WIFI signals on this device.
