Strengths: Good design, easy to install and operate
Weaknesses:Battery life, only the battery life.
Overall Evaluation: From the moment I opened the box, utilizing the Belkin Skype phone was seamless. I charged the battery, turned it on, synchronized it to my wireless system and it has worked perfectly ever since. The size and design are great. The only problem is the battery life. Belkin advertises that it has a two hour battery life, which i presumed to be talk time. Unfortunately, I can talk no more than 30 minutes before the battery dies, and without any warning. I would much prefer to not have to keep it plugged in to use on a regular basis.

Strengths: It's a great phone for what it is, there are free wifi spots everywhere, malls, shops, Wal-mart, its flash gordan now!
Weaknesses:short battery life about 2hrs talk time but the battery's are cheap so quit whinning
Overall Evaluation: This is a phone of the future, sure there might be a few glitch's but all in all its a phone for less then $200 with outgoing calls costing less than $30 a year. And thats unlimited in Canada and US. Heck a few years ago long distance was .50 cents a min. to Toronto anytime. So my score on this phone is a high 9.

Strengths: it's compact. Relativeley stylish.
Weaknesses:loses network connection all the time, on an open, unsecured network. Changes IP address by itself. Freezes.
Overall Evaluation: This is a piece of junk. It's a great idea with terrible implementation/execution. Save your money and wait for someone to perfect this type of device, 'cause Belkin sure as heck ain't done it.

Strengths: It's a wifi phone!!!
Weaknesses:Low volume.(Sometimes I just could hear a thing from the other side of the line.)The wife connection sometimes goes off-line and stay off-line.The people complain of an echo.Terrible battery.
Overall Evaluation: I think there are a lot of improvements to be done in this Belkin Wifi phone. I personally would not recommend it. Actually one that I would recommend is the Linksys CIT400. Although I know the Linksys CIT400 is not perfect. I even had to reboot it once in order to get it to work properly again. But at least this one is always capable to reconnect to the internet when the connection gets dropped and the volume is just great. Now I can hear everything people speak. Another great thing is the battery. It lasts a long time and they are easy to find. They're AAA betteries. I haven't tried the netgear Wifi and the Linksys wifi. So, I can't really say if 3 basic aspects of a phone are find in these two. For me the 3 basic aspects are: Battery, Call Volume, Stay On-Line. If a phone doesn't meet these 3 aspects, I cannot even call it a phone.
