Duration of ownership:
Strengths: More accurate coloration out of the box than others.
Weaknesses:The looks can be improved.
Overall Evaluation: At around $1200, this is one of the highest quality 30" LCD 2560x1600 resolution. I have read numerous reviews online and determine this LCD is the best price and performance ratio among Dell, Samsung, and Gateway.

Weaknesses:No scaler, No Video input, Minimum control (Brightness only)
Overall Evaluation: Great monitor: Amazing real estate, no dead pixel, good image quality for desktop app and games, great refresh speed for games (could not see any ghosting). Great price ($1000)I haven't tested video on it or the adjustable height since it stayed at minimal height. Cable access is somewhat difficult due to the size but that is nothing to fault this monitor as I have the same problem with my 24'. Haven't tested the USB hub yet.I have been using a 24' until now. I am amazed how much more real estate you get with a 30'. I understood that theoretically it has almost 2x more pixels (4MP vs 2.3MP) but this does not prepare you for the impact of seen how big this monitor is. It is HUGE! Make sure you have the space on your desk and be prepared to have to sit a little further from it than even a 24'.I got a great price from techexcess.net (with the $100 mailing rebate from HP it came down at $1000 with H&S). 2x pixels for 2x dollars compared to a 24' = no brainer if you are like me, always switching between windows and wanting to see more information at once.BTW techexcess service was great: they answered emails within 24hr and I received my brand new monitor 1 week after ordering. Thanks to pricegrabber and techexcess for making me save $250 on this monitor!Note: I was originally waiting for the Dell (I am the happy owner of a 24' Dell 2407WFP) but a few reviews including this one (http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1558,2077914,00.asp) made me reconsider. Time will tell if the HP is as reliable as the Dell but so far I don't regret a bit!PS: I am an occasional gamer, and Crysis on a 30' at 2560x1600 looks amazing (I have a 8800GT which seems to handle this rez without pb. It also scales up smaller resolutions so resolutions like 1920x1200 may be displayed full screen!)

Overall Evaluation: When shoping I stumbled on to the HP Lp3065 and was looking at 30" moniters. Lucky me I thought that I would be spending two to five hundred more. Having read some reviews I decided to take a chance with the new kid on the block. Resolution, color, Features right out of the box had no problems. My brother and friends having seen it Like it and I think I may have a few more customers lined up For HP. Good product.

Strengths: Excellent resolution and clairty. HP outstanding for monitors and printers.
Weaknesses:Great with monitors very poor preformance with Computers.
Overall Evaluation: Great HP product. Compared several monitors with in the same price range and found the clarity of the HP would consistantly out preform the competition. Would strongly recommend this product.

Overall Evaluation: Despite the good picture I am terribly disappointed by some regular clicking noise when the monitor is in stand-by mode - considered normal by HP!. Everybody checking out my new screen is laughing about the cheap noise that even a no-name screen would not do. Not recommended unless you are using it only in a noisy office.

HP's 30-inch LCD monitor, the LP3065, turned in impressive image quality in our tests. It also has a nice design and unique features that set it apart. Like other 30-inch displays, it's pricey, but it might be worth it if your work demands lots of screen real estate.
