    Duration of ownership: 2 Days

    Strengths: Feature set makes sense for people with lots of accounts and different passwords. Convenient.

    Weaknesses:Kludgy for laptop users - software won't let you undock from docking station while Vault is plugged in. UI has a couple of kinks. Seems to be no way to change default browser - it forces you into using Internet Explorer.

    Overall Evaluation: This was a gift. If I had known all about it beforehand, I would have returned it unopened.

    Duration of ownership: 2 Weeks

    Strengths: Whats great for several days in both my Acer Ferrari Laptop and my Sony Vaio desktop but only for 3 days and then stops working , ie, it fails to be recognized as being plugged in.

    Weaknesses:Works for several days and then fails to work. They offer a refund if dissatisfied, however, after putting in almost all of my financial information, how could anyone in their right mind send it back for refund still containing this information.

    Overall Evaluation: NOT READY FOR PRIME TIME. SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN RELEASED WITH THESE BUGS!!!!I have bought 5 ID Vaults and will be returning the three that have not been opened.I have not received any response to my email questions, (1) is this product fixable; and (2) if not how do I get my financial information out of your product so that I can return for my refund? NO RESPONSE-cancelled credit card payment!

    Strengths: NONE

    Weaknesses:You actually have to pay an ANNUAL fee to keep using a device that you already paid for. Where was that in the advertisements or product description?

    Overall Evaluation: This piece of junk did not even work right with Citibank. Come on, seriously. That is one of the largest banks. If it does not work right with their website then what is it going to work on? The box says "60 day money back guarantee" but you are out of luck on that for sure. It took me 3 weeks to get someone to even respond about an RMA. Then, they actually gave me a BAD address. UPS attempted to get a correct package from them and got no response either and had to return my package. I have contacted them multiple times now with NO RESPONSE. Save your money and do NOT buy Guard ID systems - ID Vault.

    Duration of ownership: 3 Months

    Strengths: easy to incorporate, works well

    Weaknesses:takes getting used to the product's prompt window when you visit certain sites, but its actually quite useful

    Overall Evaluation: I am quite happy with how well this little piece works to make online transactions more secure, and it is very simple to get going. my wife and I share it, but she travels so much that i am considering getting her her own to use.

    Strengths: getting started took less than 5 minutes

    Weaknesses:wish it came in more colors so everyone in my family could tell theirs apart

    Overall Evaluation: I run a business from home, so online transactions are critical. its great having this layer of security so i don't have to worry about theft. really easy to use too.
