    Duration of ownership: 8 Months

    Strengths: No pc required

Weaknesses:Microphone: the chassis conducts friction to the microphone, which can be irritating when talking. Contacts: I cannot call the skype contacts from the phone. The phone screws up the numbers and makes it impossible to dial any contacts. Support: I mailed and called with the LinkSys support, but they did not help. They blames Skype and suggested them to call them instead.

Overall Evaluation: Would not recommend this phone to anyone.

Strengths: This skype phone is very easy to use.

Weaknesses:For the first time use, you have to put your skype account at the phone. If you want to switch account, you have to put other account. It doesn't memorize the previous name!

Overall Evaluation: This is a very easy to use Skype phone. I used it to call my family in Asia. The sound quality is excellent. Highly recommended!! Also, you can have your landline and skype phone at the same time. Using two difference sounds to recognize landline or skype line.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: AFTER you sent up, it's easy to use. Excellent range.

Weaknesses:Quick setup guide is completely useless.

Overall Evaluation: I could not make it to work based on the quick setup guide. It did not tell you how to register the hand set to the base, and how to config the network for the base to your home router. The CD is not much better. I end up googled and set it up in few minutes. After you set it up, everything just worked on its own. Very easy to use with good range and battery power. Sound is clear. However sometimes the connection with Skype server would be unavailable.

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: Easy set upGreat voice qualityPlug and play simplicity

    Weaknesses:None so far...

Overall Evaluation: I was afraid that it would be very complicated to set this phone up, but it was as simple as plugging it in, plugging it in to my router and land line phone jack and charging it....works like a charm, no need for the computer to be on...perfect freedom to roam around the house and talk to friends over seas..... very cool item and great price...

    Duration of ownership:

Strengths: No computer necessary, good sound quality, quality feel

    Weaknesses:Pricey if not on sale

Overall Evaluation: This is my 3rd Skype phone system. I previously tried the Philips 841, and then an expensive GE Skype phone I saw at Wal-Mart. This model is my favorite of them all. The system has a quality feel to it, and has good call quality (though still not quite as good as a landline). It uses DECT technology, so wireless routers and microwaves won't interfere with the signal. The range seems to be quite good, though I haven't tested it thoroughly. I would recommend this phone and the Skype service is a very good value.
